Its complicated and a pain in the arse to make sure you fit all those rules each game so the sooner we're out of Serie D the better! :P

SERIE D GIRONE D PREVIEW: PARMA VS. VIRTUS CASTELFRANCO

Date: 05 September 2015
Kick Off: 14:00

Parma Calcio
Based In: Parma
Position: N/A
Manager: Paolo Vanoli
Captain: Alessandro Lucarelli
Key Player: Daniele Melandri
Injuries & Suspensions: Matteo Guazzo
Last Match: 2-0 Vs. Aversa Normanna
Form:

Fans Prediction: ”On the whole we had a very good pre season. Four wins and four clean sheets was the main positive and the new signings and new players at the club seemed to fit in well. Vanoli has attempted to play the attractive football that we’re known for as well as getting the results and hopefully our form in pre season can translate into our league form and we can really push for promotion to the next tier. None of us really know any of the teams down here but the media seem to think that Virtus Castelfranco are going to be mid table so hopefully we should be able to claim a victory against them come tomorrow’s game.”

Virtus Castelfranco
Based In: Castelfranco Emilia
Position: N/A
Manager: Marcello Chezzi
Captain: Sebastiano Girelli
Key Player: Elia Cortesi
Injuries & Suspensions: N/A
Last Match: 2-1 Vs. Montebelluna
Form:

Fans Prediction: ”We’re considered massive underdogs for this game it is pretty easy to say. Parma are by far the favourites to win the league let alone this game so we don’t anticipate an easy game. They have some players that have stayed with them from Serie A and that experience will serve them vital, as well as signing some players that are experienced in this tier so that should make them good to go this year. Obviously for us it would be nice to at least claim something from them but I don’t really see it happening unfortunately.”

Im not sure this division could be more complicated... you should go well this season and head up though!
That name is amazing :P
I predict you win

League Table

Player of the Month

Francesco Luoni

In Parma’s first month in the fourth tier there has not been one player whose commitment to the clubs cause hasn’t been evident but for this man it has been an outstanding month. Starting all five of the teams league games, Luoni has made an instant impact, even scoring the goal that secured three points on the opening day of the season, and if he can keep playing the way he has been doing then there is no reason why he can’t have an award winning season.

Injuries

Daniele Melandri. The forward who was the clubs best player during pre season is still in the treatment room after straining his back and will miss the next three to four weeks of action in Serie D.

Next Month

Another big chunk of fixtures in October for Parma who start the season away to struggling Legnago, where Vanoli’s men will be anxious to pick up another three points. After that San Marino Calcio, the only representative of San Marino come sniffing at the Ennio Tardini where Parma will be desperate to put in their most convincing home game yet. Fixtures away at Ravenna and at home to Imolese are next, before Vanoli’s team face 19th placed Mezzolara in a big game to round off the month.

Manager’s Thoughts

A mixed start to the season, where really we should be top of this division considering the performances we have put in. We have been class in every game and the two games at home where we didn’t score and only picked up one point are an unfortunate blemish on our record and it is an issue that I will be addressing as we move in to October and another big chunk of fixtures. Away from home though I cannot complain and I am really proud of how the boys are playing and with any luck we can start to convert out away form into home form as well and go on and make a real push for promotion.

A month of mixed fortunes, but the league isn't contested over the course of one month! Whoever can put down a consistent run of form in the coming months will certainly look like serious contenders for the title!
Solid enough start, keep building lad!
Decent start and soon you will not lose a match

Yeah was an eye opening start, but having made a few tactical tweaks i'm confident we've addressed the problem and a title campaign should be on the cards! :D

2016-05-11 13:54#231375 Griffo : Solid enough start, keep building lad!

Solid but not great, can only get better :P

2016-05-11 15:02#231381 MJK46 : Decent start and soon you will not lose a match

Would have hoped for better but think I was a little naive with my tactics and expecting to get more is probably what shot us me in the back! :P

P.S: Having done a little further digging into how the game has the leagues programmed, and how the real life Serie D works, i've updated the post detailing the workings of the league! :)

SERIE D GIRONE D PREVIEW: PARMA VS. IMOLESE

Date: 17 October 2015
Kick Off: 14:00

Parma
Based In: Parma
Position: 2nd
Manager: Paolo Vanoli
Captain: Alessandro Lucarelli
Key Player: Walter Rodriguez
Injuries & Suspensions: Rodrigo Alborno, Crocefisso Miglietta, Alessio Innocenti Francesco Corapi, Daniele Melandri
Last Match: 0-0 Vs. Ravenna
Form:

Fans Prediction: ”We’ve been really impressive of late, and we’re closing in on top spot in the league. Defensively we have been incredibly strong and five straight clean sheets is delightful and if we can build on that defensive stability and start scoring a few more goals, especially at home then we’re very much set for a place in the Lega Pro next season. Here though, our form at home hasn’t quite been up to scratch but hopefully we’re in a good position to push on and get the three points again.”

Imolese
Based In: Imola
Position: 14th
Manager: Guido Pagliuca
Captain: Samuele Olivi
Key Player: Riccardo Pasi
Injuries & Suspensions: Giacomo Serra
Last Match: 1-0 Vs. Legnago
Form:

Fans Prediction: ”We’re struggling to make ends meet this year and it looks like we’re in for a desperate struggle to avoid relegation which is not a good sign. However Parma have looked a little bit shaky at home this year and hopefully we can go there and take something away from them and give our own campaign a little bit of a boost. Hopefully!”

This could be a great match

Yeah we need a result, our performances at home have been poor so we need to step it up a gear!
