Line Up: (4-3-3) Joe Hart, Kyle Walker, Ryan Shawcross, John Terry, Leighton Baines, Gareth Barry, Jordan Henderson, Jack Rodwell, Theo Walcott, Wayne Rooney, Darren Bent

England eased past a strong Scottish side to complete their warm up to the World Cup. Although they should have scored more, England looked like the real deal and will be tough to beat. But somehow they are not favourites for the World Cup even though they are 1st in the World Rankings, with Spain (2nd) and Brazil (17th) 6-4 on while England are 2-1 on.

England maintained their 100% record in the World Cup with a 3-0 victory over Sweden. They struggled to find the net in the first 85 minutes but Wayne Rooney put them in the lead at the start of the second half. But everything changed after Ekdal's sending off in the 86th minute and scored 2 more goals. They have been drawn Senegal in the Round of 16 but unfortunately Jordan Henderson will be unable to play that match after picking up 2 yellow cards in the Group Stages.

England made it through to their first World Cup Final since 1966 with a 3-1 win over favourites Brazi. Pundits had written off England as Brazil had been in-from but the underdogs run. Steven Gerrard stole the show with an amazing performance and England will play either Holland or Mexico.

England To Play Holland In The Final

England will have to beat Holland to win the World Cup, they have learned. This will be Holland's second final in 4 years after they beat Mexico 4-2 but it will be England's first in 48 years after they beat Brazil 3-1.
I had been silently following this story during your Olympic Campaign but I had no idea you had reached the World Cup final. Congratulations! If you have beaten Spain, it will give you confidence against Holland, that's for sure!
By the way, once you have realized your dream of winning the World Cup, will you be doing something new with the nation or will you moving onto some club management?

England Win World Cup!

England 2-1 Holland
Baines
Terry
de Jong
Van der Vaart
Terry

Line Up: (4-3-3) Joe Hart, Kyle Walker, Ryan Shawcross, John Terry, Leighton Baines, Scott Parker, Steven Gerrard, Jack Rodwell, Theo Walcott, Wayne Rooney, Darren Bent

England lifted the World Cup for the first time since 1966 after beating Holland in the final. Leighton Baines opened the scoring with one of his trademark free-kicks before John Terry headed home to double their lead. Holland got a bit frustrated after that and Nigel de Jong was put to justice for his karate kick on Xabi Alonso with a red card after a viscous foul on Steven Gerrard. All Holland could do was score a consolation goal from Rafael van der Vaart before Frank Lampard lifted the trophy just as Bobby Moore did in '66.

John Smith has now been put into the Hall of Fame and says he will continue his job as England manager. England will start qualifying for Euro 2016 next.

Smith Takes Charge At Arsenal

England manager John Smith has taken charge of English giants Arsenal after they offered him £45,000 a week. The Arsenal job was left vacant after ex-manager Martin Jol took the Man City job left vacant by Roberto Mancini leaving for Barcelona. He will be looking to find new England talent at an Arsenal side that finished as champions last season.
