How much did you pay for Balotelli?
#58437 LFC_adammay98 : How much did you pay for Balotelli?

8 million, in UK pounds.
The transfer window has officially ended and here are my transfers for the first half of the 2013/14 season.

Fernando Muslera is the highest I paid for this season, for 12 million.
What a great squad you have assembled Glenn!

Thank you mate! :)
Some interesting news... Caglar Dogan has declined to play for Turkey and has instead been called up to the Germany U19s team. The promising striker is of Turkish ancestry but was born in Germany, thus is eligible to play for either country.

Daniel Agger will be sidelined for two weeks after sustaining an injury whilst on international duty.

I have made successful bids for Argentine midfielder Gonzalo Baldomar and Brazilian midfielder Carlinhos. Both are only 16 and come from Boca Juniors and Atletico Mineiro respectively. They have been offered contracts and are expected to join up with the U18 squad in the January transfer window.

At this rate my U18s and Reserves are packed with foreign youngsters - with the only English youths being Raheem Sterling, Conor Coady, Andre Wisdom, and David Soley. Striker Philip Pritchard is from Wales but came through the Liverpool academy only a few months ago.
Need some feedback mates.. do you think I should update from game to game or just update monthly?

We have played 4 Premier League games so far and in these four games we have beat Everton 2-0, drew 2-2 at Stoke, thrashed Southampton 3-0, and lastly triumphed against West Ham 5-0.

The 5-0 win has put us top but nearly every other team has a game in hand.

Mario Balotelli's luck in front of goal has really changed after he moved to Liverpool from Manchesster City in the summer.

I've learnt how to use BB codes ;)

Champions' League Group C
Liverpool 1 - 1 AC Milan
Line-up: Muslera, Montoya, Wilson, Coates, Enrique, Henderson, Gerrard, Balotelli, Sanogo, Fierro
Subs: Robinson(Enrique), Felipe Anderson(Henderson), Carroll(Sanogo)
Mario Balotelli
Willian
Jack Robinson
Mario Balotelli

Jack Robinson was very unlucky as he got handed his first appearance in the Champions' League as a sub, but got injured a few minutes after he got onto the pitch, although he played through the pain. Fernando Muslera also made his first appearance for Liverpool. Our goal came through Mario Balotelli who picked up Martin Montoya's lovely lob and finished the job with a tremendous strike from just outside the penalty box.
Jack Robinson will be out for 3 weeks due to his sustained injury in the match against Milan.

All four teams in the Champions' League Group C are both level with only one point to their names.
Downing: I'm loving life in Germany
Stewart Downing has reportedly told the media that he is "loving life in Germany".

Downing is currently in Germany on loan to Schalke 04 from Liverpool and playing in the Bundesliga, until the end of the season. This is his second loan spell at Schalke following last season's success where he became a fan favorite at Schalke for his consistent performances for the German team.

"The boss has made it clear that he would love for me to stay," Downing said, referring to Glenn Tham, manager of his parent club Liverpool. "But he has refused to guarantee that I will start every week. He also said that if I wanted a permanent move, we would discuss it at the end of this season and see how it goes. I'm really grateful that he's so reasonable as he has not forced me to leave nor forced me to stay, all he said was 'Stewart, if you want to stay, you'll stay. If you want to leave, you'll leave.'"

When asked where he thought he would be next season, Downing replied, "I don't know, really. I love to play for Liverpool but I love it here in Germany as well. I have even began to start picking up basic German from my teammates and made a lot of friends."

Downing's teammate at Liverpool, Charlie Adam, has also linked up with him at Schalke on loan for the season. The future of these two are a mystery at the moment with Liverpool boss Glenn Tham reportedly wanting to off-load Adam and probably Downing as well.
I like the idea of game by game, it also gives you the ability to foreshadow events if you play in advance. It will depend how many other leagues you have loaded, and what level you are playing at.

In my Derby/Osasuna story, I came in at a higher league level than I did with my Dynamos story, and I much more going on, and feel invested in my players. With Dynamos, it is more to do with getting the reputation up more than anything and potentially moving on.

In short, your story, your decision and it will depend how fast you can type and how much spare time you have.

Alright, I'll probably think about it for awhile.
We have returned to the top of the Premier League after slipping down to third place due to other results, as we won Derby 2-0 courtesy of an Agger header and Mario Balotelli's magnificent lob-over-the-keeper goal. Balotelli can't stop scoring!
Mario Balotelli's value has unsurprisingly rose from 8 million to 10+ million.
