- Manchester United, but in a couple of weeks, I shift focus to some team in npower League 2 or BSP. From there, I try games in Africa and Asia.

- Absolutely! I think the game has been made for LLM. Yes, it is fun to have millions and millions with City, PSG and Madrid, but a real manager has to start unemployed and move his way up. If you want to stay on the same save for multiple months, you have got to start lower down.

- The finances (avoid loans), the media prediction (only try choosing the teams tipped for relegation), the kit colours (everyone has a favourite colour).

- Liverpool F.C., but most probably a diversity of clubs in the Premier League.

- In contrast to other FM players,I can't say I like LLM very much although I have tried it with two clubs Northampton and Bury, and in both saves I only lasted a season. I prefer mid-table English clubs like Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle etc.

- Seeing what kind of club they are (e.g. mid-table club, top club, rich club, poor club etc.)

I think I'm going to start as Swansea as they are doing amazing in real life and with Michu they look a good team to manage.

No I usually try and manage a team and learn about them at the same time rather than managing a team you know. (I support stoke)

Most likely being West Ham United, due to the likes of carroll and i supported them all my life, then i'd probably manage swindon due to it being my local team.

Yep - i'm not the best at it, but it is enjoyable finding great that are incredibly better then the average player then the league you are currently in, and earning millions later in the game.

Pretty much what Jamstoe said - How much i like them in real life, and if i try and go for one of the achievements on steam.

I like to have two games going, so I will most defintley have a Chelsea save as well as a League 2 team on the go. Probably Fleetwood.

Yeah. Most of my first saves aim at managing Chelsea and bringing down the wage bill. I'm a bit like Arsene Wenger in how I buy players. Never spent more than £18 million on a player, and I usually sell for about 2 or 3 times for what I bought. After 5 or 6 seasons, you rarley have to splash out as the youth in the squad keeps coming through.

I like choosing clubs in a poor financial state although I choose Chelsea as they are my team. I think I will defintley be trying out Portsmouth on the new FM.

Depends, if I start in England or somewhere obscure, like Slovenia. If i'm in England, probably Exeter. Slovenia - Maribor.

Yes, very much so. I love the challenge of taking a non league team into the league, having a "rubbish" squad and having a complete overhaul to ensure they are competitive.

League, Media Prediction, what their squad is like - general age, too many old players is a no go zone, plenty of youngsters is a go zone for me. I prefer squads with younger players over older players, despite the experience of older players.

Tried it once and didn't like it much but it was a new experience. However, I do enjoy very much playing with West Brom as I consider it a challenge to play in a league full of financial monsters with a modest club.

If I had to choose a team which is not one of the previously mentioned, I'd say that the media prediction is a key factor. I like managing teams with average-poor media prediction (8th-16th) or with clear relegation chances.

Yep, much more of a challenge from a players POV. A lot more fun aswell, building a club up and making it your own!

The main one is the kit for some reason, but i also look at somewhere that are maybe midtable/lower because i enjoy building them up from nothing.

Logo, media-prediction, league rules, stadium and the amount of debt.
Media-prediction: Mid-table or relegation.
League rules: Not to many rules about the amount of foreigners on the pitch.
Stadium: It needs to be big enough, because I hate begging the board for for stadium changes.
