To Build A Home

Gallagher Has Built A Home

Ever since the day he took charge of the Anfield club, the Reds have moved from strength-to-strength. There was not much optimism when the club's greatest ever player, Kenny Dalglish, was sacked after a pitiful season in charge. When unknown manager James Gallagher took charge, the Liverpool fans were in shock and in dismay over the board's decision to not hire Kop hero Rafael Benitez.

James Gallagher did not let the mounting pressure get to his head as he swiftly executed his masterplan. He believed in a certain style of attacking football. He grinded his beliefs in to the players and come the start of the season, Liverpool FC was rearing to go. They won, they kept winning. After a thrilling season with many ups and downs, Liverpool FC were the undisputed champions of England after winning the coveted Barclays Premier League for the very first time in the club's participation in the competition.

The next season saw many changes in personal as Andy Carroll and co. were shipped out for low prices while youth stars such as Benzia were signed to secure a strong future for Liverpool FC. It was the legendary Steven Gerrard who went on a blistering run of form to carry Liverpool to glory in the second season. The season came to an end with a magnificent quadruple being won by Liverpool. Unfortunately the Champions League was not amongst the trophies but do not over-look the fact that this was another FOUR trophies won by a club that had looked to be on the verge of losing it's reputation as one of the greatest clubs in the world.

Mr. Gallagher signed players such as Coutinho and Varane for the upcoming season. His youthful side proved their worth with some fantastic results, including beating a much weaker Manchester United side. Can James Gallagher's side keep up their amazing record? Only one way to find out!

This season just gets better and better. It was almost a 100% winning month but Newcastle, in the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi final, were tough opposition. They were probably the toughest we have faced all month, no other team seem to have any spirit up put up a fight. The likes of Sterling, Lamela and Shelvey have dominated the midfield and with the options I have up front we have been able to go into every game confident that we will get more goals than the opposition. Pepe Reina has let one goal in all month and that certainly should be celebrated so he rightly deserves his place as player of the month.

This next month involves a trip to Shakhtar Donetsk in the next round of the Champions League and also a nice trip to our second home, Wembley, to face Arsenal in the final of the Capital One Cup.

Things are just going from strength to strength and I cannot see the unbeaten run coming to an end until at least the latter stages of the Champions League; if we get there. Thanks for reading and the comments.

@Rookie. Thank you for the brilliant post. It really has added something else to the story and it is great to have a FM legend do such a great post about my story.
Still on fire man! How many unbeaten matches are you on :D? Even Suso who isn't in the club scoops the player of the month! Brilliant!
Another year, another final. This is amazing! YNWA

It is still going extremely well. I will report on the unbeaten run once it comes to an end, although I am hoping that is not for sometime yet. Another season being unbeaten in the Premier League would be a huge achievement. Suso is doing amazing at Peterborough United however I don't think he will make the cut when he returns so I will be looking to loan him out or move him on permanently. Thanks for reading.

It is amazing to see the club doing so well and just getting better and better every game. The quadruple is definitely another possibility and it would just be amazing to add the Champions League to make it a quintuplet. Thanks for reading Rookie.

Transfers In

Three players have been brought in during the January transfer window. The three players will become a big part of the future of Liverpool FC especially with the likes of Steven Gerrard, whose career is slowly winding down to retirement, leave the club. Only one out of the three will remain at the club and that is the goalkeeper who will become Reina's understudy. The other two will not get the game time this season but they will more likely be given their chance next season.

CA: PA:
Rafinha’s potential ability is not the best I could ever sign but I do feel that there is actually more than that I can get from him. I do think his experience of playing FC Barcelona will benefit him in the long run and being loaned out for the rest of the season will help his development. He has come in for the small fee of £250k so the fans and board won’t expect him to make an immediate impact and the spotlight won’t be on him.

He has been sent to the club’s affiliate (Notts County) until the end of the season.

CA: PA:
This is a player for the future and will hardly see any first team action for the next 2-3 three seasons as he still needs a lot of time to develop as a player. He will be sent out on season long loans with the aim of him at least being seen as cover for a first team so I am hoping lower league teams will come in for him. He has come in for the fee of £6.5 million from Paris Saint-Germain. It may be seen as a bit inflated but I am sure he will become one of the Liverpool FC’s best centre backs in a number of years.

He has been signed by Peterborough United on loan until end of the season.

CA: PA:
Luca is an exciting new signing who has been brought in to replace the moaning David Ospina who has finally left the club. The new addition has cost the club £4.5 million but that has mainly been funded by the selling of Ospina. Luca is the future number 1 and will be used this season in cup games to give him that bit of game experience in English football.

I am hoping that in the future they become integral parts of the team as older players start to be played less. I think I have managed to get them for reasonable prices too. Annoyingly, Rafinha, despite being capped by Brazil and having played for FC Barcelona, is only getting into the Notts County reserve team. That doesn't seem quite right and annoying as he isn't get proper game time!
