A very pleasing month that contained a lot of good performances and comfortable wins. The most satisfying was the 2-1 win against Arsenal. Arsenal have underperformed this season but are still in contention for a Champions League spot but the defeat against my side will have done them no favours. The win will help my side stay within a chance of finishing at least in 2nd place as I feel that 1st place is just out of our reach.

Thank you Sonalex and I am glad you're enjoying it. The season has gone well (I am now at the end of it). I plan on just posting updates over today so the story catches up with where I am at currerntly.

Europa League Quarter Final Draw

Welcome to the draw for the Quarter Final stage of the Europa League. I am sure you will agree that the Europa League has started to dismiss the critics that it is a “lesser” competition with the matches that have taken place so far. In the pot that you should be keeping an eye out for are Zenit St. Petersburg who were winners in this competition in 2008 with a win against Rangers. There are three English teams who I am sure will be hoping to avoid each other in the quarter final draw; these are Liverpool FC, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. Let’s stop the talk and get this draw underway.

The first name out of the pot is former champions Zenit St. Petersburg.

Next out of the pot and Zenit’s opponents is English club Newcastle United. That will be a difficult tie for the North-East side.

The next team out of the pot is Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk who play in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Dnipro will play against Napoli of Italy.

It is looking more and more likely that the two remaining English clubs, Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur will be put against each other.

The next team out of the pot, and who will be playing the first leg at home is Liverpool FC.
And it is has happened. Liverpool FC will be playing against Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter final of the Europa League. The two teams have been fighting against each other for the Premier League title and now they will be going head-to-head for a place in the Europa League Semi-Final.

Sporting Lisbon of Portugal come out of the pot next and will play the first leg at home.
And last but not least Galatasary the Turkish giants will be travelling to Portugal in the quarter final of the Europa League.

Europa League Semi Final Draw

We are going to move straight onto the draw for the semi final stage of the Europa League. There is the chance of an all English semi final. Let’s get it underway.

Europa League Review

Suarez’s sending off signalled the end of our Europa League campaign. I am disappointed as this performance summed up our recent performances. We are playing well but we are still suffering from the same issue, no prolific goal scorer. Suarez is just not interested in playing for Liverpool FC and his sending off proved it in my opinion. The campaign did have some good moments; winning away at Marseille was a particular highlight.

We have not achieved the board’s expectations which was to reach the semi final stage but our good performance in the Premier League will hopefully buffer the disappointment of our exit from the competition

After an abysmal start to the month the players suddenly woke up; I mean all the players woke up. It was as if a light bulb came on in their heads and they realised that they could be in with a chance of winning the Premier League title for Liverpool FC. The performances just got better and better. The best moment for me personally was the 5-0 win against Everton. We have found it tough against rivals this season but this score line showed that we are capable of winning the big games. I must admit the 3-1 demolishing of Manchester City did come in at a close second.

New Contract

In my opinion it does not matter what wage you get paid. If you want to do well for the club you should be willing to take a wage cut as money should not be a motivator. I decided to take a dramatic wage cut, which the board was very happy about from £44,000 to the lowest amount possible which was £13,750.

May: The Month of Reckoning

The Premier League season has come down to three games. Three games will decide who the winner is of the prestigious Premier League title. There are two potential candidates; one of two teams could be holding the trophy aloft come the end 19th May 2013. This post will focus on the last three games from both team’s points of view so that the emotion and tension is shared with you.

The League As It Stands

Liverpool FC: 3 Remaining Fixtures

Manchester United: 3 Remaining Fixtures

My side have clearly got the easier final stretch to the season which in turn gives us the greater chance of lifting the trophy. Wigan, Sunderland nor Swansea has anything to gain from their matches against my side. Wigan has more or less been cast down to the Championship and Sunderland and Swansea have already retained Premiership status for another season. Neither side can break into a European spot so they will simply be looking to end the season on a high note.

For Manchester United though the season has a much tougher end. I would expect them to dispatch of West Brom and Sunderland comfortably but if the league title comes down to the final game of the season, they have a complicated game against close rivals Manchester City. City have had a poor season by the stands they set last season so will really want to finish on a high note; what better note to finish on than beating their closest rivals.

Manchester United: Match One

United did what they needed to. They simply have to win all of their remaining games and hope that my side slips up on our travels. United were helped out with the sending off of Olsson but they played confidently regardless.

Liverpool FC: Match One

Today we sent out a title warning. A warning was sent to Manchester United that no matter how they do in their games we will do one better. The team performed admirably, they simply played like champions. I have grown to be a fan of Assaidi as the season went on and he has all but certainly retained his position in my squad with that performance. He dominated the game from start to finish. We deserved the win but the pressure is still on us to go out and get the final 6 points.

Manchester United: Match Two

I am very surprised that United didn’t win this game more comfortably, especially as my side gave Sunderland a hammering in their previous game. Kagawa is a very good player who will become an integral part of the United side in seasons to come but the rest of the team appeared lack luster. It appears they have already surrendered the championship.

Liverpool FC: Match Two

Soon as Downing got a goal in the 7th minute you could tell we were going to dominate the game. United are playing ok but we are playing brilliantly. We are controlling possession of the ball and after months of effort to get the team to play for the club, to be proud of wearing the shirt of Liverpool FC, the goals are flying in. We are surely going to win the title for the first in 12 long years, aren’t we?

Manchester United: Match Three

United, who are usually seen as the team who perform well under pressure, bottled it at the last. It was always going to be a tough game for them and they definitely cracked under the huge pressure on them. Tevez came back to haunt his old club and this loss signaled the end of the season for United and their title challenge. They fought valiantly but just couldn’t produce wins when it mattered most.

Liverpool FC: Match Three

very well done :D good to see liverpool on top again, awesome work sir!

Why thank you. It was extremely hard work but we got there in the end. Already heading towards the start of the next season but the next post will focus on dramatic changes.
I see Ivo Pekalski from my story was playing against you, and have you just won the league my very good friend;)? And I see Assaidi getting a hat trick for you, is he actually any good though, or was that just like a one-off?

I have indeed managed to pull off what was believed as the impossible. Liverpool FC are champions of England again...well at least on FM they are. Assaidi had a very good season for me; he seems to be one of those players that can make something happen especially as he is not afraid to run at defences. That hat trick I think will be a one off but I do expect him to carry on scoring next season as I do intend on keeping for him at least one more season.

Thank you for reading.
No problem James, this story is BRILLIANT #StoryOfTheMonth
