Thank you very much. I am excited to see how they will do when they come back to the club next season.

I am going to look into getting in Cavani from your team with the aim to get rid of Suarez who is still inconsistent and annoying! Thanks for reading!

Our Second Home

As a team, since I took over as manager, we have become quite accustom to playing on the stunning Wembley pitch. Before this match we had already visited London a total of four times and every time we have been there we have brought the trophy back to Anfield. It is simply where the trophies belong.
My aim was to get this club back to the past; back to the Paisley and Shankly era. The only way that I am going to be able to achieve this is by going into all matches with the aim to win and to win well. I have never ranked the Capital One Cup as a prestigious competition and in the past I have never been bothered about our taking part in it. However, I want this club back to the past which means I have to want my team to win everything even if I don’t rate it as a big achievement on a personal level. We have worked hard to earn another chance to play at Wembley; I just hope we grab this opportunity and dismiss the opposition like we have in the past.

The Double

This club just continues to take the steps necessary to get back to yester year. The match was a tough game with very little actually happening. I couldn’t care less how poorly we played; all that I cared about was that the trophy was on our coach on the way home. Shelvey is turning into a brilliant player who has a big future at Liverpool FC ahead of him. I can already start to see him as the future captain of the club. It was very pleasing we got the win without the assistance of Gerrard and Suarez and showed that Liverpool FC is not a two man team and that we never have been.

The trophy cabinet is getting full and I am really hoping that we add to the trophy total come the end of the season.
Congrats on the trophy win :) Next stop, Champions of Europe! :P

Champions League First Knockout Round Draw

Our unbeaten run has come to a disappointing end. Before today’s game we had been unbeaten in 48 games which I see as a tremendous achievement. It will go down in the history of the club as a period of total dominance across all competitions. We still do however have our unbeaten run intact in the Premier League so I hope that we can continue with that. My concern is now that we turn this tie around in our favour in the second leg.
Damn. 48 matches. FU SHAKHTAR!!

February

Results

This was a rather bizarre month with a mixed bag of results. We came up against tough opponents in the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea but then managed to dominate against Newcastle United and come away with a 7-2 emphatic win. The result against York FC should have been more comfortable despite playing younger players; I guess the positive is that it showed we have great depth to the squad. The next month is a short one but it will involve the return leg in the Champions League that we must win.

Player of the Month – Jonjo Shelvey

The unbeaten run in the Barclays Premier League continues after this very short month has been completed. Tottenham Hotspur put up a tough challenge in the FA Cup and it is going to take a very good performance to progress to the next stage of the competition. The dismantling of Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League has provided us with the challenge of FC Barcelona, the same meeting of the two clubs at the same stage of the competition as last year. The two legs take place in April so bring on the next month. Let’s hope we don’t forget about challenging for the league when we have revenge against FC Barcelona in our minds.

Player of the Month – Luis Suarez

Champions League Quarter Final Draw

The quarter final draw has allowed me and my team to show if we have improved since last season. If you remember my club got dismantled by FC Barcelona at this stage last season which signalled the end of our European journey. This time however we have invested in the team and we are coming together as a formidable force in the Barclays Premier League. I am going to be going into the two legs with full confidence in my team to come out the other end with a positive result which will mean we go further than we did last season. This is our chance to really get back to yester year here at Anfield.

I approve of this. Cavani is such an insane goalscorer and he will personally bring you closer to any goal you set for your club to achieve.

To be honest, at this moment in time, I don't think I am going to need another striker as we are on course to achieve everything we have set out to achieve. However, next season, I think improvements may have to be made and it may finally signal the depature of Luis Suarez; I'm confident that Cavani can step in and do a great job up front.

Thanks for reading and commenting.
Great going James :) Good luck against Barca!
Rafinha won the Golden Boy of the year award and he's great, so I strongly recommend to give him some time, CL or via cup. Nice update and hope that regens turn out great.
Revenge, sweet sweet revenge. Hope you destory Barca :)
