It's been both a pleasure and honor to follow this story. The updates were always quality and I hope that you can do another story, similar to this one. YNWA!
Great story mate, from the 1st till the last page!!As a fan of Liverpool i would be very happy if the team can do such thing in real life :D (a bit difficult though)!!Hope u continue this story even for a different team(but no Man UTD)!!
Thank you very much for the kind words. I hope the cliff hanger is an annoying one as I do think it has left me open to return to this story in the future if I wish.
I have started to nose around the leagues but nothing has grabbed my fancy just yet.

Thank you Pauker for being a long term reader of this story. I hope you enjoyed it and will read my next one which is in the planning stage but a long way off being written/
Thank you very much Nivo. If only it would happen in real life. I will keep you in limbo of whether I took the job or not but I can say the decision will be a surprise if I ever share it with you.

I am glad you have enjoyed reading it as it has got better and more exciting to write as the seasons went on. I am pretty sure I will come back to this story at some point and hopefully continue to bring success to Anfield.

Well I do hope people continue to read it with enjoyment and if I do decide to carry on with it that it will continue to be a success. Thank you for your support and comments during my seasons with Liverpool FC.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I do hope to return to this story one day and I hope you will continue to read it when that day comes.

Why thank you Rookie. I have desperatly tried to find another club to manage but find myself automatically loading up my Liverpool FC save. I may just have to return to it...

Decision Time

I decided to leave this story, a while ago, on a cliff hanger. I had been offered the job at one of the most decorated club’s in world football, Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson decided to finally retire from his beloved club and straight away they offered me the job.

It was an extremely exciting offer, especially due to the transfer budget that they were going to provide me with to step out onto the Theatre of Dream’s turf. The Manchester United side already boasts big name players such as Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Vidic and none other than Neymar. With the likes of these players already big names the £83 million would allow me to get rid of the dead wood of the Ferguson regime and build a whole new squad that would surely get back to the top of English football. A rather tempting offer would you agree?

Manchester United was in absolute dreamland if they thought that I would turn my back on Liverpool Football Club and be the manager of our fiercest rivals. If I am honest I don’t think I could ever forgive myself. I cannot understand sometimes players “loyalty”. For example, my hero growing up, Michael Owen turning out in a Manchester United shirt; he went down in my opinion the moment he signed for them. Instead of getting me to sign a contract they have employed a relatively unheard of man, well, I haven’t heard of him (Vitor Pereira). I cannot already wait for the next meeting of our two club’s just to show the United faithful what they are missing.

Holy mother of Gawd!! Thank you James for being a fellow Liverpool fan! I agree with you 100 % about Owen. Sick bastard!

There was no way that I could join United...it would just be painful. Plus once I checked my transfer budget I had just as much if not more than Manchester United were going to offer me.

Thanks for sticking with me during the little break. Don't think the posts will be as often as they use to be but please keep reading and commenting!

Transfers In

This is going to be a season of consolidating the playing personnel that the club already has. As a team we won everything possible last season so does the team need improving? Not in my opinion. However, I have made it clear to some FMScouters that I haven’t warmed to Luis Suarez. The player frustrates me. One minute he is outstanding and gets important goals, the next he is going 100s of hours without scoring. This has resulted in me making one signing and it is in the striker department.
I believe that this player can help lead Liverpool FC to yet more glory this season, which will hopefully include another Champions League title.

Edinson Cavani - £20 million
CA: PA:

Pepe Reina is not getting any younger and can see him sooner rather than later calling time on his football career. This has meant I have had to seek a long term replacement that will fill Reina’s boots which have is going to be no mean task. I have already acquired Luca Lezzerini last season who is going to surely become the club’s number one at some point in his career; he is only 20 years of age and still has a lot of development to undertake before I allow him to be taking his place between the sticks.

The decision I have decided to undertake is to allow Luca go on loan to an affiliate or another club (as long as he can get some first team action) and have Reina as my number 2. I have decided to bring someone else in to fill the number 1 spot.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen - £15 million
CA: PA:

Aside from these two signings I plan on using the funds that I have at my disposal to offer new and improved contracts to players that I want to tie down the club for the long term. This will provide stability for the club for the coming 4-5 years which could mean that not much investment will be needed unless any of the older players retire.

Transfers Out

Great transfers James. Cavani and Ter Stegen look amazing and they will hopefully lead you to a repeat of Champions League glory. I'm really glad you stayed at Liverpool :) Good luck. :D
Cavani looks a great signing, and Ter Stegen is my favorite GK, so nice transfers! Good luck for the season :)
