I am glad they have gone down well. Think I have over paid? The teams wanted more for them but I wasn't willing to break into the £20 million plus boundary.

Pre-Season

I have never taken much of an interest in pre-season. I don’t think you learn too much about your squad and the only benefit is that helps new players settle in and gets the team back together after the summer break. I have entrusted Colin Pascoe, my assistant manager, with the running of the friendlies.

Results


A perfect start to my second season in charge of Liverpool FC. I wasn’t too bothered how the Community Shield match was going to go but it was a nice surprise to see us win it so comfortably; the new players were given a run out and it went well. We hadn’t conceded a goal in 5 games (two were friendlies) so it was a shame that that run came to end against Fulham who were dire. Let’s hope the season continues in this rich vein of form.

Why thank you and thank you again Rookie for your help with my posting issue. He is getting a lot more game time this season with some of the run outs being in Europe too.

Results


Yet another perfect month. It started off so well against Manchester City. It does appear the the tide is turning back to red. Porto didn’t stand a chance against us and new signing Lamela scored the best goal I have seen in a very long time. We are doing well all competitions and long may this continue. We have even broken the club record for the most number of consecutive games; we haven’t lost a competitive game since April.
