Kinkladze Statement
Sky Sports News has just received the following statement from Manchester City manager Georgi Kinkladze, the letter is addressed to Manchester City fans.
“Dear All Manchester City fans and followers across the World,
I am releasing this statement as I feel you deserve to know what is happening regarding all the current press speculation.
As many of you are aware Real Madrid have made a formal approach for my services and upon receiving this, Mr Al Mubarak contacted me to say the decision was all mine but he would like me to stay. I am honoured to have been approached by a Club like Real Madrid, they are a massive Club with a huge fan base across the World but in my eyes no Club is bigger than Manchester City.
I have spoken to Mr Al Mubarak and told him I have no intentions of leaving Manchester City this summer, or any time soon. Manchester City is a Club I hold dear to my heart, they gave me a chance as a player and three years ago gave me this chance and I feel I have unfinished business at the Club.
I would like to thank you all for your continued support and I fully intend on bringing the Premier League trophy back to Manchester City next season and I look forward to seeing even more of you at our new Stadium this coming year.
“Once A Blue, Always A Blue”
Yours faithfully,
Georgi Kinkladze
Manchester City Manager”
There we go, Georgi Kinkladze will not be leaving Manchester City this summer and he fully intends on bringing the title back to City next year, so where will Real Madrid turn now? Many reckon Antonio Conte will be high on there list, along with Slavan Bilic so only time will tell. It is expected that whichever one of those two joins Real Madrid, the other one seems likely to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
Already people have responded to the news on Twitter, with City captain Vincent Kompany tweeting “Great news about the gaffer, great man to lead the Club #wewantourtitleback!” City front man Sergio Aguero has said, “Happy Mr Kinkladze is staying, his passion for City is amazing!”
One interesting tweet came from former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand who had this to say, “Brave move from Kinkladze, thought he’d have run away from Mourinho, he is no match! #BraveOrStupid”
