Me too mate! But he deserves to play and Varane needs a bigger role this season
Losses aren't too positive, but gains outweigh them, good job mate.

Fixtures Announced for 2015/16 Season

The fixtures for the new season have been announced with some interesting fixtures arising from the release. Champions Manchester United will begin the season away at newly promoted Bristol City, who will no doubt enjoy a special start to the season, while runners-up Manchester City will start the season at home to Stoke City at their new home of the Al Mubarak Arena.

The two Manchester derbies between City and United will take place at busy periods of the season, with the first ever Derby at the Al Mubarak Arena taking place on the 22nd December, while the return game at Old Trafford will be the penultimate game of the season on 8th May.

With the second Derby coming at an important time it could all come down to the final day where United will face an away trip to Burnley, and City will be hoping to lift the Premier League title at their new Stadium with a game against Middleborough.

Kinkladze Signs New City Deal

Manchester City are proud to announce that manager Georgi Kinkladze has agreed a new 5 year contract. Kinkladze has been at the Club for three seasons already and the Club sees no reason why he can’t continue his good work and see the Club’s move to the Al Mubarak Arena become a massive success.

City have also announced that they will play in a four team tournament to open their new stadium, the other three teams are Siena, Recreativo and Wolfsburg. City will face Wolfsburg in the Semi-Final and the final will be played the next day.

City have also agreed a friendly with Barcelona that will see Club legends appear on the pitch beforehand and be the perfect build up for the Community Shield against Manchester United a week later.

City Sell Three More

City have today sold three players who were once considered bright prospects by all have Manchester City, as part of the manager’s summer clear out.

First of the former young prospects to leave was John Guidetti rejected a chance to join Wolves in favour of Nottingham Forest. Forest have paid £2m for the Swedish striker who surprised everybody by rejecting a chance to join the Club where he spent 6 months of last season on loan.

Next to leave was Ivory Coast midfielder Abdul Razak, who has joined Deportivo La Coruna on a permanent deal worth around £500k. Razak was tipped to follow in the footsteps of his fellow Countryman Yaya Toure and be a big success at City, but he failed to impress Kinkladze and has spent the last three seasons on loan.

And finally, Luke Shaw has left City to join Spurs in a deal worth around £2m. Kinkladze signed Shaw from Southampton in his first season at the Club but following the break-through from Joan Ramon, Shaw had limited chances at City and will take a chance at another Premier League club.
Unlucky they didn't develop :(

2015/16 Pre-season

City’s pre-season involves a fair bit of travelling and the opening of their new Stadium. City will travel for their yearly friendly against feeder club Al-Jazira, before coming home to play Brentford. A friendly tournament will open the Al Mubarak Arena, with City facing Wolfsbury in the Semi-Final. A trip to Ireland follows, to play Shamrock Rovers, before coming home to play a prestigious friendly against Barcelona.

City dominated their opening friendly of the season, and eased to a comfortable 3-0 victory. A good mix of experience and youth in both halves made sure there were no mistakes made, with the goals coming from Bale, Marcio Roberto and Blanco.

It may only have been pre-season but City looked unstoppable today, a first half goal from Bale set them on their way but it was the second half where there class told. A brace from Samir Nasri, including a stunning free kick, gave City a three goal before a late goal from promising centre half Andy Charles completed the scoring to give City a 4-0 win.

City opened the Al Mubarak Arena with a brilliant 3-0 victory in the Semi-Final of their Friendly Cup, City named a full strength side, and are through to the final thanks to goals from Samir Nasri, Marcio Roberto and Joao Serrano.

The first mini trophy of the Al Mubarak Arena era has arrived, as City convincingly defeated Siena 4-0. A dominant performance from a young City team saw two goals in each half secure the easy victory for City, goals coming from Serrano, Zurak, Biesmans, Adryan.

Another comfortable friendly victory in Ireland today, as City brushed aside Shamrock Rovers 4-0. City gave a first appearance of pre-season to Aguero and Nem, who have both just returned from the Copa America. City’s goals came from Silva, De Rossi, an own goal and a wonder goal from Gareth Bale.

The final friendly of pre-season was a big one, as City played Barcelona and City showed they are a force to be reckoned with this season with a convincing 3-0 win against a strong Barcelona side. A goal on the stroke of half time for Cavani gave City the lead, and goals in the final 15 minutes from Blanco and Bale secured a big friendly win for City and boosted confidence ahead of the Community Shield against United in a weeks time. Aguero took a knock during the game and will miss the game with United, although he should return for the start of the Premier League campaign.

City Announce Squad Numbers

Manchester City and their manager today announced the teams squad numbers with some changes from previous seasons. As expected Wesley Sneijder has not been given a number, with the player set to leave, and Sergio Aguero has moved from his famous City number 16 to 10. Matija Nastasic has also moved into a different shirt and will be wearing the number 6 this year, vacated by the sale of Joleon Lescott, while Juan Ramon has been given the number 3 shirt which many have taken as a signal that he will be City’s starting left back. Up and coming centre back Andy Charles has been given 24, while Roberto Blanco has moved from 47 to 26. New signing Ruben Dario Gaimaro will wear the number 17 shirt this season.

Clichy Leaves City For PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the £10.5m signing of Gael Clichy from Manchester City. Clichy was in the final year of his contract at City and manager Georgi Kinkladze clearly feels the Club have options at left back and is happy to see the Club receive such a high fee for someone in their final year of their contract.

The 30 year old left back has been at City for 4 years and won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a Capital One Cup whilst at the Manchester club, making 93 league appearances in the 4 years. Clichy fell down the City pecking order last season with the emergence of Juan Ramon and was advised that Ramon would be City’s first choice left back this season.

Sunday 9th August 2015 – Manchester City v Manchester United (Community Shield)

http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj595/MCFCDAP/CommSh_zpsa19d0c34.png

As always the season will open with the Community Shield, many consider it a glorified friendly but when two rivals meet and there is a trophy awarded at the end of it, it is far from a friendly. Premier League Champions Manchester United face FA Cup winners Manchester City at Wembley today, in what will be United’s first competitive game under a different manager than Alex Ferguson for the first time since 1986. Jose Mourinho is the man given that responsibility and he will be looking to bring his first trophy to Old Trafford and set the marker against his new nemesis, Georgi Kinkladze.

United come into the game with two big money signings having arrived during the summer, as Mourinho has spent £21.5m on Real Madrid’s Cesar Azpilicueta and £20.5m on Southampton’s Gaston Ramirez. Among those that have left Old Trafford this summer are Antonio Valencia, Danny Welbeck and Fabio Coentrao.

City haven’t made any big moves this summer in regards to bringing players in, although much is expected of Argentinian midfielder Ruben Dario Gaimaro. City have set about trimming their squad though with Joleon Lescott, Gael Clichy and Luuk de Jong all leaving the current holders of the Community Shield.

MCFC Subs – Forster, Zabaleta, Varane, De Rossi, Nem, Silva, Suarez

MUFC Subs – Lindegaard, Song, Nkoulou, Eriksen, van Persie, Evans, Fellaini

First Half

Wayne Rooney wasted little time in proving any doubters wrong when he scored the opening goal after just 6 minutes. After a stunning season last year many said Rooney couldn’t repeat it but he has proven he still has an eye for goal early in this game. The half was very even with both teams have dominant spells but it is Rooney’s strike that separates the sides at half time.

Half Time – Manchester City 0 Manchester United 1 (Rooney 6)

Second Half

City never really looked like they wanted anything out of this game until the final few minutes when it was all too late. James Milner hit a free kick from 25 yards that rattled the crossbar and then Nem fizzed a cross across the six yard box but no-one was there to tap in it so it is Jose Mourinho and United who win the first trophy of the season, and give Kinkladze his first defeat in 6 appearances at Wembley.

Final Score – Manchester City 0 Manchester United 1 (Rooney 6)
