2015/16 Pre-season
City’s pre-season involves a fair bit of travelling and the opening of their new Stadium. City will travel for their yearly friendly against feeder club Al-Jazira, before coming home to play Brentford. A friendly tournament will open the Al Mubarak Arena, with City facing Wolfsbury in the Semi-Final. A trip to Ireland follows, to play Shamrock Rovers, before coming home to play a prestigious friendly against Barcelona.

City dominated their opening friendly of the season, and eased to a comfortable 3-0 victory. A good mix of experience and youth in both halves made sure there were no mistakes made, with the goals coming from Bale, Marcio Roberto and Blanco.
It may only have been pre-season but City looked unstoppable today, a first half goal from Bale set them on their way but it was the second half where there class told. A brace from Samir Nasri, including a stunning free kick, gave City a three goal before a late goal from promising centre half Andy Charles completed the scoring to give City a 4-0 win.
City opened the Al Mubarak Arena with a brilliant 3-0 victory in the Semi-Final of their Friendly Cup, City named a full strength side, and are through to the final thanks to goals from Samir Nasri, Marcio Roberto and Joao Serrano.
The first mini trophy of the Al Mubarak Arena era has arrived, as City convincingly defeated Siena 4-0. A dominant performance from a young City team saw two goals in each half secure the easy victory for City, goals coming from Serrano, Zurak, Biesmans, Adryan.
Another comfortable friendly victory in Ireland today, as City brushed aside Shamrock Rovers 4-0. City gave a first appearance of pre-season to Aguero and Nem, who have both just returned from the Copa America. City’s goals came from Silva, De Rossi, an own goal and a wonder goal from Gareth Bale.
The final friendly of pre-season was a big one, as City played Barcelona and City showed they are a force to be reckoned with this season with a convincing 3-0 win against a strong Barcelona side. A goal on the stroke of half time for Cavani gave City the lead, and goals in the final 15 minutes from Blanco and Bale secured a big friendly win for City and boosted confidence ahead of the Community Shield against United in a weeks time. Aguero took a knock during the game and will miss the game with United, although he should return for the start of the Premier League campaign.
