Unlucky defeat to West Brom, they just seem to be the giant killers in the BPL! :/
Unlucky defeat but smashing the Millwall scum should be enough to cheer you up.

Manager’s August/September Review

The first 2 months of the new season have been impressive, as we have won 5 of our opening 6 games and only lost 1 match. We played well through-out and were especially impressive in the 6-3 home win against Chelsea, the final league game of the two month spell was disappointing as we lost 1-0 to West Brom in a game we really should have won.

In the Cups, we lost the Community Shield to United 1-0 and it seemed to spur us on in the League so I won’t worry too much. In the Capital One Cup our younger players were very impressive in their third round win over Millwall and will continue to stick with youth as we go forward in the competition. In the Champions League we won our first game away at Gladbach and then drew at home to Galatasaray which was a little disappointing but 4 points from the opening two games is a good start.

My player of the month goes to Samir Nasri. Nasri has been influencial in all of our games and was exceptional in the game against Chelsea. His presence on the right hand side of the pitch has led to praise from around the World and I hope Samir can continue this form and get better as the season goes on. Special mentions have to go to Roberto Blanco and Juan Ramon who came second and third respectively in the Young Player of the Month award.

I am also delighted to announce I won the Manager of the Month award for August after our impressive start to the season. As always I couldn’t do this without the players and my new assistant so would like to dedicate this award to them.

Saturday 3rd October 2015 – Manchester City v Arsenal (Premier League)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Kompany, Varane, Zabaleta; Nasri, De Rossi, Gaimaro, Nem; Blanco; Suarez SUBS – Forster, Ramon, Nastasic, Toure, Bale, Silva, Cavani

Arsenal Starting XI – Szczesny, Corchia, Koscielny, Dragovic, Vermaelen; M’Vila, Lucas; Wilshere, Cazorla, Griezmann; Llorente SUBS – Fabianski, Mertesacker, Marcelo, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud, Armero, Sagna

City’s task of defeating a title rival was made even harder after 6 minutes when Daniele De Rossi was sent off for a two-footed tackle in the middle of the park and many would have been happy with a point, but a Pablo Zabaleta penalty after 24 minutes and a battling performance with only 10 men was enough to give City the three points and get them back to winning ways. De Rossi has been handed a three match ban for his red card.

Final Score – Manchester City 1 (Zabaleta 24(p)) Arsenal 0

MOTM – Yann M’Vila

Attendance – 61,258

Saturday 17th October 2015 – Wolverhampton Wanderers v Manchester City (Premier League)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Varane, Nastasic, Ramon; Pereyra, Milner, Barry, Nem; Blanco, Cavani SUBS – Forster, Zabaleta, Kompany, Toure, Nasri, Silva, Suarez

Wolves Starting XI – Frei, Jovic, Berra, Dunk, Rodriguez; Chipclu, Karacan, Henry, Amrabat; Chamakh, Boakye SUBS – Hennessey, Schonbachler, Sako, Doyle, Eardley, Reo-Coker, Odoi

Manchester City suffered their second defeat in three games today, as again they were beaten by Midlands opposition. Wolves took a two goal lead before City made it 2-1 before the break, but City failed to build on that goal and get themselves level in the game and are once again looking inconsistent without Sergio Aguero.

Final Score – Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 (Amrabat 21, Chamakh 32) Manchester City 1 (Cavani 38)

MOTM – Jem Karacan

Attendance – 30,287

Tuesday 20th October 2015 – Manchester City v AFC Ajax (Champions League Group F)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Charles, Fanchone; Nasri, De Rossi, Gaimaro, Bale; Silva; Cavani SUBS – Forster, Richards, Nastasic, Toure, Nem, Blanco, Suarez

Ajax Starting XI – Fernandez, van Rhijn, Lopez, Rolando, Chavez; Mijailovic, Thomas, Serero; Markovic, Sulejmani; Sigborsson SUBS – Cillessen, Denswil, Hendriks, Babel, Anderson, Dijks, Blind

A stunning European footballing display from City gives them their first Champions League win at their new Al Mubarak Arena. City dominated from the kick off and Samir Nasri and Andy Charles hit the woodwork before Nasri’s 30 yard free kick found the back of the net. City scored twice more in the first half and the game was over.

Final Score – Manchester City 3 (Nasri 9, Bale 34, Cavani 40) AFC Ajax 0

MOTM – Vincent Kompany

Attendance – 62,445

Saturday 24th October 2015 – Burnley v Manchester City (Premier League)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Kompany, Nastasic, Ramon; Pereyra, Toure, Gaimaro, Nem; Aguero; Cavani SUBS – Forster, Zabaleta, Varane, Milner, Bale, Blanco, Suarez

Burnley Starting XI – Ben Chrifia, Trippier, Barnett, Shackell, Lumb; Albrighton, Edgar, McCann, Ferguson; Ebanks-Blake, Austin SUBS – Grant, Kusk, Marney, Mitroglu, Hughes, Stanislas, Berg

The game didn’t start off in the best way with Burnley taking the lead in the first 10 minutes but from that moment on City began to dominate and two goals from Cavani gave City the win. In the 90th minute Vincent Kompany was sent for an early bath after two yellow cards and will miss the next match.

Final Score – Burnley 1 (Albrighton 8) Manchester City 2 (Cavani 20, 45+2)

MOTM – Edinson Cavani

Attendance – 20,044

Tuesday 27th October 2015 – Manchester City v Bolton Wanderers (Capital One Cup Fourth Round)

MCFC Starting XI – Almir Rogerio, Zabaleta, Varane, Charles, Toase; Zurak, Augusto, Gaimaro, Cucchi; Silva; Biesmans SUBS – Forster, Nastasic, Fanchone, Milner, Nasri, Blanco, Suarez

Bolton Starting XI – Bogdan, Solly, Mancienne, Ream, Willems; Blaszczykowski, Rodwell, Vela, Aluko; Anderson, Ngog SUBS – Flinders, Hanlon, Green, Yann-Erik de Lanley, Sylvestr, Whittaker, Alonso

A brilliant performance from a young City team sends the current holders into the Quarter Final. Two well worked goals and finishes from David Silva and a first ever City goal from Daniel Biesmans are enough to see City cruise through, despite a second half goal from Bolton. In the Quarter Final City will face United at the Al Mubarak Arena, in a repeat of last years final.

Final Score – Manchester City 3 (Silva 7, 29, Biesmans 24) Bolton Wanderers 1 (Anderson 49)

MOTM – David Silva

Attendance – 63,650
Good results except the Wolves game :)

Saturday 31st October 2015 – Manchester City v Bristol City (Premier League)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Kompany, Charles, Fanchone; Pereyra, De Rossi, Milner, Bale; Silva; Cavani SUBS – Forster, Zabaleta, Nastasic, Toure, Nem, Aguero, Suarez

Bristol C Starting XI – Lillis, Wilson, Andersen, Fontaine, McGivern; Sefa Vilmaz, Elliott, Skuse, Sutton; Freeman, Baldock SUBS – Fraser, Adeyemi, Debreceni, Adomah, Futacs, Deeney, Duffield

An easy three points today for Man City as they brushed aside Bristol City with ease. City had around 68% of the possession but the win wasn’t quite as comfortable as their fans would have hoped, until two late goals wrapped up the points.

Final Score – Manchester City 3 (Cavani 32, Zabaleta 75, Toure 89) Bristol City 0

MOTM – James Milner

Attendance – 56,439

Manager’s October Review

With 4 games this month, I would have been happy with 9 points but find it hard to accept the defeat away at Wolves and especially the poor performance we turned it after the international break. Despite the defeat we beat a strong Arsenal team with 10 men for 85 minutes and then comfortably defeated Burnley and Bristol City.

In the Capital One Cup we cruised into the Quarter Finals with a very convincing 3-1 win over Bolton. A young team played really well and showed the future at City is very bright. Our Champions League game this month was also very convincing as we beat Ajax 3-0 at home.

My player of the month goes to Edinson Cavani. After a poor start to the season from the Uruguayan he has come to life this month and showed he is still the main man up front. Cavani’s goals have been key and I hope he carries on this great form for the rest of the year. Roberto Blanco was also the runner up for Young Player of the Month award after another string of good performances.

Wednesday 4th November 2015 – AFC Ajax v Manchester City (Champions League Group F)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Varane, Ramon; De Rossi, Milner; Nasri, Silva, Nem; Suarez SUBS – Forster, Richards, Nastasic, Toure, Bale, Aguero, Cavani

Ajax Starting XI – Fernandez, van Rhijn, Lopez, Rolando, Chavez; Blind, Thomas, Serero; Markovic, Sulejmani; Sigborsson SUBS – Cillessen, Hendriks, Rodriguez, Babel, Anderson, Dijks, Denswil

City took a more attacking line up to Amsterdam, with the team playing with 3 attacking midfielders instead of the 1 that Kinkladze has played with for much of his 3 and bit years in charge and it paid off with a convincing 2-0 victory. The first goal was not about attacking play, it was simply a stunning 35 yard strike from Daniele De Rossi and the second goal was cleverly worked and finished by Cavani in injury time. The win also means that City and Galatasaray have both qualified for the knock out stages with 2 games to go and that topping the table is all that is left to achieve.

Final Score – AFC Ajax 0 Manchester City 2 (De Rossi 47, Cavani 90)

MOTM – Samir Nasri

Attendance – 52,960

Saturday 7th November 2015 – Wigan Athletic v Manchester City (Premier League)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Charles, Nastasic, Ramon; Toure, Gaimaro; Pereyra, Aguero, Bale; Cavani SUBS – Forster, Zabaleta, Varane, De Rossi, Nasri, Blanco, Suarez

Wigan Starting XI – Al-Habsi, Stam, Ramis, Baffo, Figueroa; Bryson, Kljestan; Routledge, Falk, Lucas Piazon; Morison SUBS – Kean, Perch, Alcaraz, Novikovas, Kone, Golobart, Fox

An easy three points for City today as they controlled the game from start to finish. Wigan never stood any chance against City and rarely threatened with Joe Hart only having to make one save in the 90 minutes. Both of City’s goals were well worked with neat finishes and their fans might be a little disappointed that they didn’t score more than two.

Final Score – Wigan Athletic 0 Manchester City 2 (Toure 7, Cavani 15)

MOTM – Matija Nastasic

Attendance – 21,908
Brilliant story. Keep it up.

I hope you don't mind if I 'borrow' a little bit of your writing style for my first story. I really like the way you've done it and want to use some aspects of your style to improve on my own :)
