Sporting To Sign Doria

Sporting CP have agreed a deal to sign Doria from Botafogo for a fee of £525k. The young Brazilian centre back is said to be delighted at signing for such a big club.

The transfer will go through on the 1st January 2013, when Doria will sign an £11k deal.

Doria has played 8 games for the Rio club this season, making 2 assists, and has obviously managed to convince the Lisbon club to sign him, and believe he is a very good prospect for the future.

Review

First, the transfers. I'm really pleased with the players we got, and we have Doria coming in January in case we're struggling. Kara is a very good player and is still young, whilst the other players we signed (aside from Rodriguez) are also great young prospects.

Now, onto the results. Aside from against our reserves, we were absolutely abysmal in every single one. We can't be being battered by sides like Bari and Vincenza. And the Huddersfield loss is just humiliating.

We need to improve during the competitive season.
Kara will be amazing! He was God on FM12. Also like the win, draw and loss icons next to the matches :)

Yeah been pretty impressive so far in the games I've played.

Pinto: "Patricio Will Be Key"

Portuguese journalist Pedro Pinto has suggested that Rui Patricio will be key to Sporting Lisbon's season ahead of their first league match of the season against Gil Vicente.

The Portuguese team conceded 11 goals in pre-season, and the Portuguese national team's number 1 keeper will need to be on top form to help the Lisbon club reach glory this season and further in the future.

The stopper is entering into his ninth year with the club, and this season will be his most important, with Sporting having finished a disappointing 4th last season, and the club will need to improve this year under new boss Lothar Matthaus. Tomorrow's match against Gil Vicente will be the perfect opportunity to launch their season with a bang, before a two-legged tie against Swiss club FC Luzern in the Europa League play-off round.
Here's your comment Manc! You can now stop pestering me!

I am enjoying the story so far. A few people seem to be raving about Adryan so I might just have to check him out. I also like that I haven't seen a story based in Portugal before so it is totally different. Good luck with the season.

I now expect one every 17 minutes for the next 8 months ;)

Monthly Review

We got 4 wins out of 4 and are in a very good position in the league, as well as being in the group stages of the Europa League. Our problem is scoring when we’re on top. At least we’ve recovered from our poor pre-season matches. Porto and Benfica are free-scoring at the moment.

League Table

Third behind Porto and Benfica after two matches.
nice start mate great players brought in lets see where this goes maybe the league best of luck

I have Labyad and Bakkali, does that help? :P
Great story so far keep it up
A very nice team and strong youth facilities there Blue, I expect you to conquer Europe and all comers with that sort of talent to burn.

Best of luck!
