October/ November

Another good 2 months for us and we are cementing our place in the top 3.

Results have been up and down and we started with 3 straight wins but then we had 2 defats on the trot to Mansfield and Forest Green. I needed a result out of both of these games to keep the momentum going. A good win against Gillingham followed and it was a professional performance and I am very proud of the team for that. A defeat to Shrewsbury followed but we bounced back with wins against Cheltenham and ST. Albans in the F.A Cup. When we played Torquay we were awful and the performance was dreadful. But we bounced back again with a won over Dag &Red to finish the 2 months off on a happy note.

League Table

We now find ourselves 2nd in the league which is an excellent position for the squad.
Great position, keep it up!

Henderson Rejects New Contract

Eastleigh’s Connor Henderson has rejected a new contract at the Silverlake stadium. The talented midfielder was signed from Arsenal for a fee of around £16000 has decided not to extend his stay with the club. Henderson is regarded as one of Eastleigh’s best players so it is to be seen if they can reach an agreement later on or if they must sell the midfielder for a cut price.

The club has already extended the contracts of key players which includes ; Thomas Eisfeld, Oskar Martin, Ben McKenna and Martin Camano. The club now wants to move forward so signing these players up again will be a big boost to the fans and to the club.
Great updates here Matty! I hope Henderson does sign a new contract and you must look for regens as they can be top class!

Henderson Signs New Eastleigh Deal

After weeks of negotiations Eastleigh midfielder Connor Henderson has signed a new 3 year deal with the Spitfires. The fans are delighted that the talented player has decided to be a part of the project going on at Eastleigh FC. Manager Matt Wells had this to say about the new deal,
“Connor is a talented boy and I want him to be a big part in my team for years to come”.

December/January

We have been disappointing in these 2 months but I brought in some new players to help the squad.

As the results show we have been awful. We got only 4 wins and that is not promotion form at all. We need to start improving and I am working on a new Tika Taka tactic that should destroy the league. I am desperate for automatic promotion but if we make the play offs it will not be that bad.

League Table

We are somehow still second but if we continue to slip up we will not be there for long at all.

New signings

4 key signings came in in January to help our bid for promotion ;

They are all very good signings and they will be in the squad for most matches and I hope they can improve recent results.

Wells hailed for new ‘Tika Taka’ style

After a dreadful Christmas Eastleigh manager Matt Wells has started to make his team play a Tika Taka game. Inspired by Barcelona and Spain Wells hopes this tactic can bring him great success and he believes he has the players to do so.

February/March

Another decent 2 months to keep us in the promotion race.

An unbeaten 2 months and we started with 5 draws on the trot. This was disappointing as I was using the new Tika Taka tactic but we could just not find the winning formula. We then picked up with wins against Exeter and Forest Green. We then had to play Mansfield that could decide who gets promoted. We won 1-0 and were excellent. We are now using the new tactic to our advantage and we are passing teams off the park. But going in to the last month Thomas Eisfeld, Connor Henderson, Oskar Martin and Tom Shaw will miss the next month through injury.

League Table

A you can see it is too close to call at the top but all we can do is focus on our games and keep on winning.
Hold on to that auto promotion spot with your life!
You can earn promotion, I know you can! :)

Thanks mate I bloody hope so.

April

We headed into the final month of the season with promotion in our sights.

We started with a great win but then we drew against Torquay and that was a very disappointing defeat but at least we did not draw. A defeat followed against Cheltenham and this was our game in hand and I am very angry with it as it could have secured promotion. We then played MK Dons and lost 5-1. The biggest defeat in the clubs history and I am embarrassed about that so now the promotion race goes down to the final day………
