try to play more simple football, dont try to play too wide type of football etc. many should just play short and simple passes(except the good passers like an odd midfielder).

try not to play with a high tempo. make sure you have good closing down option. putting 1 cm to do it in the own half while the other should close down often, for an example.
1 holding midfielder needed to pull opposites player, and give some room for your striker

I am playing with oxford united and missed out on the playoffs last season by four points, i obviously find it very hard because i have £0 transfer budget and a very low wage cap. I wanted to see if you could recommend some good tactics for me and in particular training regimes, becuase none of my players improved last season.

What's worked for me so far is playing a very defensive-minded brand of football. I spend the majority of matches in a normal or defensive setting and rely on counterattacking to win matches. Having taken Newport County from Blue Square South to Coca Cola League 2 in four seasons, I think it's worked extremely well.

I can't remember the training schedules I use at the moment, but I downloaded specific ones for my full-time guys as well as my youngsters. In all honesty, however, I don't know that it's very worthwhile right now because my team is so limited in terms of coaches (both quantity and quality).
My Tevez Score 29 Goals in League:)
just make suer your training isn't too difficult. don't forget they have low stamina etc

I usually try to stay away from the training menus as much as i can, my coach's usually do pretty good for me, but suddenly my team is underachieving drastically and players just arnt training well, so i thought i'd give it a shot.
I was just wondering, for the people who know what they're doing with training, do you create different training regimes for the different positions you have, like separate schedules for Defenders, Midfielders and strikers and what not?
I'm pretty sure about what each position needs inside the training specifics just not so sure about the schedules.
yes i have one for:

GK, CD, FB, DM/CM, AM, W, ST

some people even have 1 for fast strikers and 1 for big strikers.

thing is that players that are around their prime years wont have big changes in their ability so thats why don't need to have the perfect schedule.

younger players, youth players should have a more "perfect" schedule if you want them to become a "certain" type of a player.

usually i just keep a basic training schedule that i have done, i ahve it for the youngsters as well.

for me it works good with decent coaches.
I don't usually do, specific scedules as I feel I am not very confident about if it works and it could stunt a players possible growth. e.g. with berbatov I tried to get his pace back but his other attributes suffers as a result. If I was to do specific ones again I would need tips from someone like Bole, sun, red, stam, or dusan.

I got rid of all the low standard coach's in my team and brought in some better ones so that got sorted i was just a little unsure about the schedules. Most of my first team are under 25 which isn't particularly their prime, i just need to get them performing :(
i use specific all the time.
i us eit to further enhance the key attributes of a player. e.g. a skill based player will have lot of ball control and attacking, to make them more profficient in that area.

with youth players i have a more balanced set up, so not to detriment certain areas of thier game

that might help.

and if your looking for your team to have good fitness most of the time, make sure you give them a rest for 1 day or 2 time to time.
and make sure you don't have too tough training schedule.

and have good fitness coaches.

I use tugs training and its top class. One problem I have though is that one of my strikers thinks the training is too hard, the others have no problem with this. I moved him ti a different one and reduced it slightly but he still thinks its too hard. Hes only 21, shuld I just keep him on Tugs and hope he gets used to it, or lower it even further?
