Huddersfield Town AFC - UTT

So many comments to respond to so you get one aimed at all of you. I do think I have made the right decision in staying but I will definitely want to move on after one or two more seasons unless we are really pushing for the Champions League; this is a bit of a long shot but then again I never expected to be in the Premier League and in the Champions League by season three.

Great signings mate! Screenshot of the whole team soon? With Anelka and Co. leaving, I'm guessing that your wage budget got a lot more!

I am hoping Begovic comes good after me splashing so much cash on him. He will get so much game time so his attributes should continue to progress. I am a tad worried however that it will hinder Smithies' progress. Thanks for reading.

I am sure I can include a squad update next before the season starts just for you Pauker. The budget has gone down but it has then been spend on these new arrivals but we are still firmly in the green. Champions League football should help the club continue to make money. Thanks for reading.

Some great signings. Have to agree with Jeremy though, getting rid of the Nicola$ Anelka and the others should help you alot!

Very quality signins

A very positive pre season which has allowed for the newcomers to settle into the team with the team also managing to help themselves to a few goals. It does look like Asmir Begovic is going to have to replace Alex Smithies as the number one goalkeeper as his attributes so superior; Smithies will have to settle with cup games and some cameo appearances in the Premier League. Anthony Gerrard has been selected as the club’s captain for the season in order to main some consistency, whereas Steven Defour has been chosen as vice-captain. I can already see Defour playing more games so he will have to take on a lot more responsibility. To go into the Premier League and Champions League campaign off an unbeaten preseason is great motivation for the club. We are going to find it very difficult against Porto but I know that the team will give it their best shot.

I have never bought Destro before but he seems to be a play that is highly rated amongst FMScouters so I am hoping he can pay back his rather inflated transfer fee. Begovic will go straight in as number one so Alex Smithies will have to get use to the bench. Whereas Bisciotti is one of the first of hopefully many new staff members over the coming two seasons. Destro is great, Begovic, in real life, is maybe the best prem keeper and Bisciotti is a great staff member all-round on FM. Looking like you are really building a powerful side now.

I do plan on integrating Destro into the team gradually as it will be a huge change for him and Fierro deserves his starting place as he ended last season so well! The club is getting stronger and stronger and I do enjoy the fact that it has to be over more than one season instead of spending big bucks like I could do with Manchester City or Chelsea.
