It was another steamrolled month for Inter Milan as they stormed their way to six straight victories. Of the six, only the match against Hellas Verona seemed to cause them any trouble, but a late Rogerio free kick sealed the points on that occasion.

Against SS Lazio, the Nerazzurri again encountered a bit of stiff opposition, but a late header from a different Brazilian, Emerson Luiz, followed by a stunning volley from a corner kick from that same player finished an astonishing turnaround for Bergomi's men to 3-2.

It was also a good month in terms of cup runs for Internazionale. The reigning Coppa Italia champions moved on to the final where they will play Torino. Somewhat interestingly, the Turin side has two Inter players on loan, French midfielder Maxime Gautier and Brazilian striker Augusto, and so neither will be able to play in that match.

In the UEFA Champions League, Inter Milan advanced with a 3-0 win at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, overcoming their slightly embarrassing draw at the Stadio da Luz in Portugal. The quarterfinal draw has not yet taken place, but the perennial contenders of Barcelona, Real Madrid, and two-time runners up Arsenal are still up for grabs.

Inter's next match will finish the month of March; they will play eternal rivals AC Milan in the San Siro. This heated Derby della Madonnina has more than just pride at stake, however; should Inter triumph, Bergomi and his players will clinch the Scudetto against the hated Rossoneri. The match will take place on Saturday at 6:00pm, and, most likely, Inter may just be crowned a 6th straight time.
Win, win, win and more wins! Keep it up :D
Walter: I certainly hope you're not surprised, it's not like my Inter side do anything but win :))
Justice: Thanks Niko, that graphic is awesome :)

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUARTERFINAL DRAW

After an exciting round of 16, the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal draw has been made, and there are a number of exciting match-ups to look forward to in the coming weeks. In this article, we'll analyze each of the four games and give you our opinion on who will triumph in each tie.

ARSENAL vs REAL MADRID

Jack Wilshere has captained Arsenal to two straight runners-up medals. Can the Gunners finally change their fortunes this year?

This, perhaps, is the most exciting of all the fixtures in the quarterfinal stage. Both teams have risen back to dominance in their domestic leagues, but on the European stage things have been more difficult. In the last five years, these two teams combined have lost three of the finals, the last two in a row lost by Arsenal to Inter. Even though Cristiano Ronaldo is still firing in goals for Los Galacticos, we tip the Gunners to advance to the next round, led by the heroic goalscoring of Olivier Giroud and the midfield domination of Aaron Ramsey.

BAYERN MUNICH vs TOTTENHAM

Star winger Gareth Bale will look to use his pace and skill to surge Spurs into the semifinals for the first time in history.

Bayern Munich have shocked the world in their astounding fall from power in Germany, struggling to keep up with Leverkusen. They will face even sterner competition in the shape of Tottenham Hotspur, however. The second north London team left in the competition is looking to reach the semifinals for the first time. Though Bayern will put up a strong fight with the goalscoring likes of Mario Mandzukic and Mario Gomez, we believe that the attacking likes of Yassine Benzia and Gareth Bale will pave the way for Spurs.

BARCELONA vs MANCHESTER UNITED

Having won 9 straight Ballon D'Or, Lionel Messi is undoubtedly the best player in the world, but is his team still up to scratch?

Manchester United is newly returned to the Premier League throne and is fighting to win their second straight. FC Barcelona, on the other hand, hasn't won La Liga in three years and are trailing Real Madrid by 6 points with 8 games to go. Neymar and Wayne Rooney have been outstanding for the Red Devils this season, combining for 35 goals and 13 assists, but we believe that Lionel Messi will, as always, be the difference maker. The 9 time Ballon D'Or winner has scored 33 goals and picked up 13 assists all by himself and will surely lead his team to the semifinals yet again.

INTER MILAN vs BAYER LEVERKUSEN

Italy international Andrea Poli has been a stalwart in Inter's midfield over the last six years and will look to dominate this tie from the center.

And the final draw of the quarterfinals is between two-time reigning champion Inter Milan and German giants Bayer Leverkusen. Though Leverkusen rose to the Bundesliga title last year and lead again this year, they will hope to upset the Nerazzurri on the European stage with their super-striker Julian Scheiber and Italy captain Daniele De Rossi. Inter are by far the heavy favorites, though, and we are beyond certain that the superstar likes of Rogerio and defensive prowess of Emerson Luiz will help Inter get one step closer to defending their European crown.
Wonder if you saved it this time? Good update Nealio
Bayer or Bayern?! :/ Make up your mind Nealão! :))
Nice update Neal! Some interesting games there :o
Jack: Yes I saved this time thank goodness :))

Walter: I dunno, one of those German teams with "Bayer" in the beginning, give or take an "n" at the end :P

Josh_MU: Yes, can't wait to see who makes the next round! :)

INTER TOP AC MILAN TO WIN THE SCUDETTO

Throwback: Bergomi has now surpassed the side of the 2000's that won 5 straight Scudetto's (above) by winning his sixth in a row.

For the sixth year in a row, Inter Milan have triumphed in the Serie A. For the third year in a row, the title race is mathematically over by the end of March. Never before have we seen such a dominant side in history, and this title comes all the sweeter due to the manner in which it was won.

Playing AC Milan in the San Siro is always an emotionally charged experience for fans of both Milanese sides. When securing the title is at stake for Internazionale, however, everything is amped up a notch or two. The entirety of the stadium was roaring from the first whistle.

They were almost silenced early in the first half, however, when Alexandre Pato's nodded header from Nicolas Gaitan's long ball trickled into the net, only for the goal to be called off for an offside infraction. Shortly thereafeter, Mattia Destro missed a very easy 1 on 1 chance with Carrizo, and the fans were edgy at half time with the scores level.

Two minutes after the break, however, Destro made amends by pummeling home a strike from four yards out after a delightful cross by Alvaro Pereira, and the crowd absolutely exploded. The Giuseppe Bergomi stand was rocking, and Bergomi himself on the touchline was exuberant.

The match ended slightly uglier, with Nigel De Jong being sent off for a vicious tackle on Philippe Coutinho, but as soon as the final whistle was blown, black and blue clad fans streamed onto the pitch to celebrate their 23rd Scudetto, their 11th since 2006.

"It's an amazing feeling," said Bergomi after the game. "There are still 7 matches to go, and we plan to give a few of the younger lads a chance. Truly, this is the greatest team in Italian history, and I am so, so proud to be part of it."

While there are 7 games to go, Inter already have amassed 91 points in their title win, going an absolutely incredible 30-1-0 thus far, their only draw a 0-0 at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.

The team has endured a wonderful season defensively as well, conceding only 12 goals so far. Though they cannot match their 2012-2013 record of only 10 goals allowed, but it is impressive nonetheless. Should the team their remaining 7 matches, they will finish with 112 points, beating their previous record of 110.

Record signing Rogerio, who joined this summer for €62M and leads the league with 15 assists, said after the game, "It was a perfect game, and, so far, it's been a perfect season. Now however, we must turn our attention to the Coppa Italia final, and the UEFA Champions League."

The Serie A table now that Inter have secured the Scudetto is as follows:

Is it getting boring yet? :))
Walter: There's a reason that this is the last season you know :P

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMIFINAL MATCHUPS DECIDED

After a couple of breathtaking matches and shock results, the quarterfinal stage of the UEFA Champions League is complete, and the semifinals are set. In this article, we'll take a look at each of the quarterfinal results and pick our favorites to reach the final at the Stade de France.

Quarterfinals Review

Leverkusen 0-1 Inter Milan
The quarterfinals were filled with shock results and comebacks, thrilling for some fans and absolutely heartbreaking for others. Defending champions Inter Milan had the most steady time of it, drawing 0-0 in Germany and surprising quite a few people. Leverkusen almost held the Nerazzurri to a goalless draw in Milan before Mattia Destro's late goal at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza sealed the deal at home with a 1-0 aggregate win.

Arsenal 2-2p Real Madrid
Real Madrid was the first team to complete their comeback to ensure progress to the semifinals. After going down 2-0 at the Emirates, Los Galacticos bounced back with a 2-0 win of their own at the Santiago Bernabeu thanks to a stunning brace from Cristiano Ronaldo. The match went into extra time and penalties, and ultimately a fantastic save from Iker Casillas kept out Abel Hernandez's penalty to lead Madrid to a 5-4 shootout win over the back to back runners up.

Manchester United 2-3 Barcelona
FC Barcelona, following in their archrivals footsteps, also completed a thrilling comeback against English opposition. Losing 1-0 to United at Old Trafford had been difficult, but a 4th minute goal by Dede was a real kick in the teeth to the Spanish champions and seemed to doom them to failure. However, a ten minute flurry of goals at the end of the first half saw Lionel Messi score twice and Alexis Sanchez score in stoppage time to win Barcelona the game 3-1 and the aggregate tie 3-2 to break United hearts.

Bayern Munich 3-7 Tottenham
The Spurs result was the most shocking of all. Having blown a 2-0 lead at the Allianz Arena to lose to Bayern Munich 3-2, Tottenham had it all to do in front of their own fans at Hoddle Stadium. Gareth Bale and company didn't just win, though; they annihilated Bayern, thrashing the Bavarian giants 5-0 with goals from Benzia, Bale, Lennon, Welbeck, and an own-goal from Yuto Nagatomo. Final aggregate score; 7-3 to the London side.

Semifinals Preview

BARCELONA VS TOTTENHAM
Barcelona hasn't reached the semifinals since 2015, and Tottenham have never gone this far in the Champions League in their history. It's a momentous tie for both sides, but only one may prove victorious and charge their way to the final in Paris. Even though both Emmanuel Adebayor and Yassine Benzia have over 20 goals this season, we believe that Barcelona's quality will shine through; Lionel Messi alone has 36 goals and 14 assists while winger Alexis Sanchez pitches in 17 goals and 14 assists of his own. The Catalan side is simply too strong, and will find their way to their first Champions League final since 2015, when they won it all.

INTER MILAN VS REAL MADRID
This tie is certainly the more high-profile of the two. Inter Milan have won the Champions League the last two years running and are determined to be the first team since Bayern Munich in '74, '75, and '76 to win the trophy 3 times in a row. Real Madrid, however, are still chasing the elusive 'Decima', their tenth European crown. They had their chance in 2013 but lost to LOSC Lille, and now the opportunity to compete in the final is just two games away. Even though Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Christian Eriksen, and Karim Benzema create one of the deadliest strikeforces in the world, we think that the quality of Rogerio and captain Andrea Ranocchia will see Inter though to their fourth final in five years.
That spurs result o.o
