Le Fondre - "The stuff dreams are made of!"
In a post-match press conference, Adam Le Fondre described his sides 4-1 masterclass over Arsenal as "The stuff dreams are made of".
Press: You must be delighted, a 4-1 victory over a team you were expected to lose heavily against, How does this feel?
Le Fondre: I'm delighted, this monumental victory is by far the proudest day in my short management career so far. The boys were outstanding today, they were on every first ball, chasing every player down and their finishing was exquisite. It was the stuff dreams are made of.
Press: A few days ago you were asking for Jem Karacan to lead your team into victory, He certainly did today, How did you rate his performance?
Le Fondre: I've said it once, but I'll say it again, he's one of the best at what he does on his day, Jem had a top quality game today and capped it with a goal, games don't come much better than that for any player and I expect he'll savoir it for a long time to come.
Press: It has been rumoured with some standout performances over this season Nicky Shorey has done enough to earn himself a contract extension, is this true?
Le Fondre: Yes it is. Nicky has been sensational over the course of the season, and deserves it, He spoke to us himself about him aging and considering his retirement. But when a player is at the top of his games as Nicky is, It's hard to hang those boots up.
The win for Reading today leaves them 8 points behind Stoke in the final European football spot, With the Royals looking unlikely to make it, Reading fans everywhere can be pleased with there sensational performance on their return to the Premier League and look forward to the season ahead.
Goals for Shorey, Karacan, Phillips and Montero secured the win over Arsenal today.
Really fantastic win over Arsenal, at this rate Reading will be a Premiership contender in a few years time

Premier League Review
Winners: Manchester City
Relegated: Aston Villa, Norwich, West Ham
Overperformers: Reading - The Royals expected to finish 20th this season, emerged as Europa League contenders and only missed out on a spot due to goal difference, 7 extra goals over the season would have guaranteed European qualification.
Underperformers: Manchester United - The usually top-2, Title contenders finished 6th this season and only managed to qualify for the Europa League, United fans everywhere have no right to be happy and the fact United brought home no silverware all season rubs salt into the wounds.

A very pleasing season for the Royals and Le Fondre, Le Fondre in his birth year of management, has silenced all critics and proved all doubters wrong. He led his Reading side who were tipped for relegation within an inch of Europe. Not many teams in the history of the Premier League have gone from Promotion to Europe. But Le Fondre's side missed out by goal difference, All-in-all, Reading fans all over should be delighted with their teams position and should be praising their squad and managers determination and ambition.
Le Fondre admits Europa heartache
In a post-season press conference today, Adam Le Fondre admitted his side are devastated at their failure to clinch the Europa League qualification spot from Reading.
"I must admit, it's hard to take, to come so close and lose out on a formality is a heartache, Although, I hope this will spur the lads on. Give us the drive and ambition we need for next season. We will work even harder next year to ensure we can make it. As for now, theres a nice rest for the boys before the tough pre-season ahead of what I hope to be another successful Premier League campaign"

EL is a certainty for Reading next season!
It should be, If i don't make it, It'll be a wonder how. Hopefully though, Going to try and not bombard the squad with too many signings, only a few but big ones who will make an impact
Brilliant job this season mate, very unlucky not to get into Europe. Keep up the good work and maybe you'll be playing alongside RM and Barca in the Champions League!
Great story.
EL places will be definitely be at your favor
especially with new signings.
Looking forward to next post.
Four Leave as One Arrives at The Madejski
Reading announced 4 departures from the club today, James Perch, Jimmy Kebe, Hal Robson-Kanu and Kaspars Gorkss all left the club. Whilst Promising Aston Villa centre-half Nathan Baker joined the club in a deal thought to be worth around 4.3 million. The accumulative deals out brought in 6.8 million with Gorkss at 800-thousand, Kebe at 2.5 million, Robson-Kanu at 2 million and James Perch at 1.5 million.
Press: You sit here today with your new signing, As Baker is only 22, Do you see him as a buy for the future?
Le Fondre: Absolutely not, I think Nathan has the quality to come into the squad straight away, I think he has gained the experienced necessary at Aston Villa and will be fully comfortable performing in the Premier League on a regular basis.
Press: 4 departures, including 2 wide-men, Are you in the market for a back-up winger with the departures of Kebe and Robson-Kanu?
Le Fondre: It is something i'm looking into, I think we need someone with a bit of quality out on the right, Phillips is a star player but without any pressure pushing to challenge for his first team spot, I believe he may become complacent.
Press: So can we be expecting anymore deals to be finalised soon?
Le Fondre: As you already know, we are awaiting the arrivals of pre-agreed deals, David Ospina, Nicolas Tagliafico, Carlos Sanchez and Marcelo are all set to join the club, When they do we will evaluate the squad and work out the area we need to improve.
Baker joined today for 4.3 million and is said to be delighted to be joining a team that is 'going places'.
Great signings, mate, I'm sure Nathan will be class in the defense!
