AS Monaco has agreed to a 3 million euros deal with AS Roma for center midfielder Michael Bradley, who will join the club on January 1, 2015. The link between Monaco and Bradley is the manager of Monaco, Nathan Limior, who also manages the United States national team, who Bradley plays for. "Michael Bradley will be a great player for AS Monaco, I know it, because I see him do amazing things on the international level for the United States. This isn't just getting my boys hooked up. I had a clear need at midfielder and Bradley is a player who has the quality, that I can trust, and comes at a great price."
United States 0 - 0 Ivory Coast

The last US friendly for a while, I think. What a dull game!

Transfers and Other News

- Loic Jeanson loaned to AC Ajaccio
- Derrick Appiah loaned to AJ Auxerre

Standings

That last loss is the difference between 6th and 9th, and it'll be a big miss at the end of the season, but I've whipped this team back into shape, and I expect this form to continue.
Good luck with Monaco mate :) Interested to see what you'll do with them!

We're climbing up the table but we have a long way to go before we can think about Champions League qualification.

De Jong Kicking to Monaco

It took until the January 31 transfer deadline, but AC Milan has loaned defensive midfielder Nigel de Jong to AS Monaco for the rest of the season. Monaco will be paying 150,000 euros a month to AC Milan, but will be contributing 0% to his wages. de Jong is known for, well, I shouldn't have to tell you that, shouldn't I? AS Monaco fans are hoping he can show his technical skill and not his skill in avoiding red cards for egregious offenses on the pitch.

January 31: Fode Koita suffered a broken toe in the match against LOSC LILLE and will be out for two months. The injury is a huge blow to our attack, and hopefully he returns to form when he recovers.

Standings

We're in 6th place, and now the gaps between teams are wider. We'll have to play well in order to qualify for the Champions League.
Going strong! Keep it up!

Standings

We're still doing very well in the league, but we can't suffer draws if we want to get Champions League qualification. We're doing well in Coupe de France though and I fully expect to win, Paris Saint-Germain is the main competition though and I don't know what to expect from them yet other than brilliant football.
Awesome to see you at Monaco. Tough performance in the World Cup but Monaco seem to be doing well under your leadership! Hopefully USA can benefit from that too

Manager's Analysis

Sean Johnson is really not endearing himself to me, and if Brad Guzan gets injured we are screwed. Our attack also isn't up to par, we need to score goals against everyone.

Standings

We can't seem to shake getting out of 6th, we've had a poor run of form lately but I'm always confident we can shake out of it, Koita stopped being a goalscoring machine, I need to turn him back on.
