Thanks mate. I am trying to give the squad a new edge and get rid of deadwood/lazy players.

I am way ahead in my save and Muller has done very well so far with a rating of 7.6.

Bayern Sign Varane

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of French defender Raphael Varane from Real Madrid. The central defender signs for a fee of £18.5M and will join up with his new team later this week.

The highly rated defender is said to have a big future ahead of him and has huge potential. Pep Guardiola knew that he had to pounce and sign the highly sought after defender and he has done so and the Frenchman has signed a long term deal at the Alianz Arena.

Pep Guardiola spoke highly of the defender in a press conference earlier today.

“He is a great player. He can go far in football and he has tones of potential. For such a small fee it is a steal and he has a big future ahead of him. He will play a lot of football this year to make sure he settles down to German football and the lifestyle”.

Bayern Munich were close to signing Kurt Zouma last summer but they pulled the plug on the deal before the transfer was completed.

Raphael also spoke out about his new club and how he was looking forward to having a big future ahead of him.

“It was tough to leave Madrid. I have only been there for a few years but I know I can have a great career at Bayern. I will play football and I want to work hard to make sure I can for fill my potential. I was looked after well at Madrid so I want to thank the staff at Real”.

This transfer news leads on to 2 more exits at the Alianz. Jerome Boateng heads to HSV on loan and Ademilson departs to Werder Bremen on a season long loan.

Bayern Munich Bring In 2 New Faces

Alexsandar Kolarov and Jan Kirchhoff have joined Bayern Munich. The duo signed their contracts together and will join up with their new team mates this Wednesday.

Kolarov joins for a fee of £8M and signs a 4 year deal at the German giants. The deal comes after Diego Contento signed for Schalke earlier on in the week and Bayern only had David Alaba who could play at left-back.

“I am delighted to sign for Bayern” said Kolarov. “They are a big club and I hope to be able to do well for them and have a big future at the club. I know I won’t start many games but I still want to help the team out in any way I can”.

“I had a great time at Man City but I feel I wanted to move on and Pep asked me if I wanted to play here and I said yes”.

Many fans are concerned about the signing by saying that Pep paid too much for a play that will not be 1st choice but he reassured the fans the deal would work out.

“He is a great player. We were short on full-backs and he is very talented at what he does. He can get forward well but also can defend. He is great at set-pieces and we want to use this to our advantage”.
Jan Kirchhoff also joins Bayern on a free transfer. The former Mainz defender had a great season last year and finished runner-up in the Bundesliga player of the year award.

The defender had signed a pre-contract after Bayern made contact with the player’s agent.

“Jan is a top quality defender” added Guardiola. “He is young but he is hungry. After Boateng left on loan I felt we needed a new defender and Jan was a perfect fit. He was the best defender in the league last year and I hope he can re-create that form for Bayern this season”.

Media then asked Guardiola if he would be signing any more players and he told them that 1 more first team player would be coming to the club.

“We are working on a deal for a striker and we should have something to announce later on this week”.

I think I share the same fear as the fans concerning Kolarov, although Kirchoff is fantastic and you paid nothing for him. Just like in real life.

Thanks mate. He is purely back up for me. He wont last 2 seasons imo but we needed a replacement and he should do ok

I didn't think he would be your first choice left back. He is actually a pretty good back up to have...quite good from set pieces which is always good for a player to have.
