Robben –‘I need Help’

Just days after being arrested after a drunken brawl Bayern Munich winger has admitted that he is suffering with depression and alcoholism.

Earlier on in the week Arjen Robben was released on bail by local police after he was found beating up a Dortmund fan. He is due in court in December and Bayern Munich have said they will back the Dutchman.

Today he spoke to journalists and told them that he has recently been attending clinics to help with his depression and his drinking problem.

“I have not been well for a long time” said Robben. “I have not been able to play well and I feel it has affected my performances. Every morning I wake up and I just don’t want to face the day, I don’t want to see anyone or be with people. I am out of money. I have drank it all away and I just feel ashamed of myself and I need help, I just need help”.

Robben then broke down in tears and then manager Pep Guardiola took over and spoke to the media.

“We will support him all the way. As an ex-pro I know it is easy for players to feel this way and we will provide him with as much help as possible. I have had some chats with him and his family to try and help him get his life back on track”.

The press released this picture of Robben slumped in his chair with his wife after being drinking for 5 hours and it made national papers and was on the front and back pages.

The picture was taken just minutes before the brawl with the Dortmund fan that left him hospitalized.

It is not known what will happen with Robben but Guardiola has said that he will remain a Bayern player for as long as he wants.

“Look he needs our help. I am willing to organize more money for him so it can help him recover and get his life back on track”.

Robben then lay his head into Guardiola and Pep then put his arm around his winger.

Bayern Complete Cazorla Deal

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla for a fee believed to be around £25M.

The attacking midfielder was recently put on the transfer list by Arsenal and will join his new club when the transfer window in January opens.

Manager Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of Cazorla and told the press of his excitement of signing Cazorla.

“Santi is a very gifted footballer. He is a great technical player and will suit Bayern well. I feel we lost a great attacking midfielder in Muller so to sign another top one is a big deal for us. I have always admired Santi and I have welcomed him to the club with open arms and I know he will be a great player for us”.

Bayern Munich fans will have to wait 3 months to see their new man in action but they are very excited to see him pull on a Bayern shirt.
