brilliant start to the story :D and Lewondowski is a great signing, already bagged 2 goals against City in the space of 4 mins :D great stuff mate!! :D
Great signing in Lewandowski, hope he does well for you.

Never really liked Chelsea but will be following, good luck!
Quality signing and for £21m great deal for Chelsea :) looking forward to this story as a Chelsea fan! I'm considering writing one when FM 14 is released and from your other stories I've read James I know this story will be successful :)
Mark: I really do hope Lewandowski comes good as I did have the choice of either him or Neymar but Santos wanted be to pay £60 million plus for him and I wasn't willing to do that.

yuttra52: I am glad you will be following. It is hard managing them being a Liverpool fan but I am back enjoying the game so long may it continue.

patrick1: I thought £21 million was quite cheap for him and he is young so it will be a good signing for the long term too. I haven't even thought about what I will do on FM14 so just going to carry on enjoying this story.

John Terry Replaced

It has come as no surprise after the recent rumours that John Terry has been removed as the captain of Chelsea Football Cub by the new manager Dennis Wise. It is understood that a meeting took place between the two with Wise explaining that the club is looking to the future and there is a chance that Terry will not be seeing as much game time as he has experienced in previous seasons. This was evident in the recent Community Shield with the manager preferring to start David Luiz and Gary Cahill as the centre back partnership in the three nil win.

Terry’s agent has spoken on his behalf and expressed his disappointment in the decision but he will give the newly appointed captain his full support.

Wise has not wasted any time in replacing John Terry with his fellow countryman Frank Lampard who will take on captain duties with immediate effect. This decision had left the vice-captaincy role vacant; however, Wise has moved swiftly to announce that Petr Cech will be taking on this duty. Both players have expressed their delight at being given the responsibility of leading one of Europe’s biggest team. Lampard has thanked John Terry for being a mentor to him in recent years and he hopes he can emulate the achievements that Terry did during his time as captain.
Good choice in replacing JT but perhaps for that he should have been sold too no?
P-Kiddy: I don't think I could name a club that would sign John Terry for a reasonable fee. There are going to be games that I will need him for such as cup games which will allow the preferred partnership of Cahill and Luiz to be rested for the more important games.

The first Premier League match of the season saw Chelsea come up against Southampton. Chelsea was firm favourites to win the match but nobody could have expected the result that we ended up with. Chelsea dominated the match from the outset in terms of possession and creating of chances. A calm finish from Juan Mata seemed to settle the game down and rewarded the pressure that Chelsea was putting on the Southampton defence. Two debut goals shortly followed from Robert Lewandowski who showed no signs of needing time to settle into the English style of football. The rest of the match was plain sailing for Chelsea with goals coming from Ramires and two debut goals from Victor Moses.

Dennis Wise: I cannot praise the team highly enough after a very confident first game of the season. It was great to see all the hard work the club put into pre-season pay off so early in the season. I would like to congratulate both Robert and Victor on their debut goals and I really hope that there is more to come from the pair of them.

The second game was seen as a bigger challenge for Chelsea coming up against potential Premier League title rivals Liverpool under the new leadership of Brendan Rogers. Wise showed that he had some tactical know how and surprised the opponents by setting his team up in a 4-5-1 formation and not wanting to attack the game full on. This decision paid off with Chelsea being able to control possession and despite taking on a defensive approach they created numerous chances while fending off the Liverpool attack. Already in the new season Chelsea have seen 6 different scorers with Oscar, Cahill and Ramires (who added to his goal tally) grabbing Chelsea the win.

Dennis Wise: Despite only being two games into the season this is a big result for us as a team. We were not made favourites and we have managed to prove a few doubters wrong and that we should maybe be considered as title challengers. The team managed to have formed a very good understanding on the pitch already and this has been demonstrated in the two score lines so far.
Two great wins, keep it up! I really like your writing style too, so easy to read :)

It was great to get off to a winning start, especially with such comfortable wins! I'm glad you like the writing style; it is one I am not confident with as I prefer first person but I do enjoy the challenge of third person. I hope you continue to enjoy.

Champions League Draw

Today has seen the draw for this season Champions League Draw and Chelsea’s group is being described as an easy group for the North London club. The pundits are suggesting that the only challenge that they should face is a visit to Germany and Schalke but Chelsea are still expected to progress from the group with six comfortable wins from six matches.

Mauro Tassotti, the Chelsea assistant manager, attended the draw and stated that the club were pleased with the draw and that they would be heading into the competition with the intention to win the tournament for the second season in the row. He stated that the club’s ambition for the season was to perform well in the league as well as retain the trophy.

Ayew Signs for Chelsea

Dennis Wise appears to some to have wanted to be involved in the transfer deadline chaos having instigated the signing of Andre Ayew from Olympique de Marseille for a fee of £15 million with the club having to pay him reportedly close to £90k a week. The club has further shown faith in the signing by adding a minimum release clause of £80 million to his contract along with a promise of giving Ayew 30% of any future fee another club pays for him.

Wise has moved very quickly to refute any claims that Ayew was a panic buy but instead has suggested that he will become an integral part of the midfield. The Chelsea manager has claimed he has been a fan of Ayew’s for a while with him having identified him as a transfer target during the club’s pre-season tour of France. There are rumours circulating that Wise and Ayew’s agent met up while the club were in France in order to discuss terms before Chelsea had even made a bid. O’Marseille have refused to comment on the situation but instead have wished Ayew good luck in his future career at Chelsea.
Pretty tough group, but I'm sure you'll come through, and great signing too :D
Good signing in Ayew. You should be able to get through that group easily. Good luck!
lwalter66: I think the group is one of the easier in the competition. I think only Schalke will give us a challenge to be honest. I am happy with the new signing and feel he will bring a lot to the team.

TVDLC123: I think Ayew is a pretty good player but I am a tad annoyed I didn't get him for a cheaper price but you have to pay more than you use to.
