Inter Announce Youth Signings from Brazil

Today Giuseppe Bergomi has announced that Inter have signed three more Brazilian youth prospects to join the two already joining later and the one that has already joined. There has been a strong link between Inter and signing youth prospects, and things look to continue in this vein. Besides these poached young players, wonderkids Ademilson and Adryan were also signed by Bergomi, and Coutinho was signed before. Here are the three signings:

Diego

Diego is a 17 year old center back who plies his trade for Flamengo. He is considered to be the next Thiago Silva, and he is already world class at both aerial challenges and tackling. The skills he has shown in defense and his great work rate and determination have led many to believe Diego will be the next leader of Brazil's back line, along with a slightly older Inter player Emerson Luiz.

Rafael

Rafael is a 16 year old central midfielder who plays his football at Santos. The club is famous for the creation of world superstar Neymar, as well as attacking midfielder Ganso, and has created many fantastic youth players. Rafael was noticed by Inter scouts due to his fantastic first touch as well as top notch passing, shooting, and technique, as well as success in the air. Rafael will have a lot of competition in Milan, but many are confident Rafael will be a star.

Rodrigo

Rodrigo is the crowning jewel of Bergomi's three new signings. The 16 year old Internacional striker is considered the next Neymar in terms of footballing success. He was the first to be noticed by Inter's scouts, and for good reason. Rodrigo's finishing and heading are already of the highest quality, and this is wonderfully complemented with his world class first touch and dribbling skills. Rodrigo is a true talent, and will become an Inter legend.
Some very good youth signings that will surely be useful in the future!

Cheers krups, hopefully they will develop well under my guidance :)

Ospina Hands in Transfer Request

Internazionale goalkeeper David Ospina has handed in a transfer request to be sold in January. The goalkeeper cited lack of playing time and stagnation of his career for his request. Many Inter fans are sad to see a player want to walk out on their club, but realize he was only second fiddle to Handanovic and his presence will not be missed massively. It is reported that the transfer request has been accepted, and Ospina has been placed on the market for 5m euros.

"I want to play. I think I have the ability to do well for any team, and it is disappointing to come to Inter and not play," said Ospina. "I wish all the best to the Inter fans and the players I have become great friends with, but the sooner I am gone the better my career will work out."

Ospina made 19 appearances last season after signing on a free transfer from OGC Nice, having refused a new contract there. 14 of those appearances were in Serie A. There was a supposed argument between Ospina and Bergomi at the end of that season where Ospina asked for more playing time next season, and though Bergomi has split the games evenly between Handanovic and Ospina, the Colombian has indeed asked for a sale.

"I am sad to have to let David [Ospina] go, but I think it is for the best. Samir [Handanovic] has been in top form, and there has been no space for Ospina." said Bergomi to the press. "His sale will also give us more time to develop Francesco Bardi. I wish David luck throughout his career."
Ospina is a decent player but definitely don't see him getting time ahead of Handanovic! And you'll get some money off him too...with Bardi in your ranks you don't need another keeper haha

I have been looking for an excuse to get Bardi more time anyway :P

Serie A

A perfect start to the season with six straight wins. We are two points ahead of Juventus, and we have conceded a mere 1 goal in all of those games. It is a tribute to our rock solid defense of season where we let in a mere 10 Serie A goals, and we will hope to continue in such form.

UEFA Champions League

We are tied for first in the group with Galatasary, who are also on 6 points. They have a vast goal difference advantage due to their 6-0 thrashing of APOEL, but I think our team is superior to that of Galatasary and that we can win this group and go from there.

Player of the Month

Mattia Destro

Monthly Review

A wonderful month for the team as we won all six of our games! We were in unstoppable form, allowing a mere two goals in all six games. We have started to build a lead in the Serie A and we have started very well in the Champions League as well. If this form continues, we will surely have a great season. Ademilson and Destro have struck up a fantastic understanding up top, and they will be vital. We are definitely missing Coutinho in attack, though, as without him Adryan and Lazaro have looked short on ideas at time. If we can continue winning like we did this month, though, everything will be perfect!
