Valencia Complete Fierro Signing

Valencia have completed the signing of Mexican international Carlos Fierro. The 18 year old signs a 5 year deal with the club and will join up with his new team in January.

Fierro joins for a fee of £5M and is one of the most highly rated strikers in the world.

Manager Pep Guardiola is happy with his new signing and expects a lot from the Mexican.

“Carlos is a great lad. He has bags of talent and can become a great. He is a top young player and one day he will reach the top and become a great and I hope that is in a Valencia shirt”.

Fierro also spoke to the press and was excited about his future at Valencia.

“They are a top club and I hope to play there for many years. I feel I needed to move to Europe to further my development and Valencia will help me reach my potential. I hope to stay for a long time and make sure I can repay the club”.

Fierro was widely expected to sign for Arsenal but Valencia came in with a £5M bid to make Arsene Wenger feel deflated again.

December Update

Athletic Bilbao AWAY

PEP’S NOTES: A disappointing performance rounded off a disappointing defeat. We were never in the game and we struggled to create chances throughout the 90 minutes. Bilbao’s team is not as good as ours in my opinion but we still should be winning these games. We need to pick up and get some better results later on in the month.

Espanyol HOME

PEP’S NOTES: This is more like it. We are beginning to start performing better in the league and we need to make the most of weaker opposition. We dominated the game and we managed to put 4 goals past them with help from a brace by Soldado. I hope he can continue his form and hit 30 goals this season in all competetions.

Zaragoza HOME

PEP’S NOTES: This was a strange game as it felt like we were never going to get a goal but eventually we found the net. We had chance after chance and when Soldado is out of form there are not many goals in the team. We persevered and we managed to score a goal due to Canales’s header from a free-kick. It is another good 3 points for us so I hope we can continue this from and make sure 4th place is ours.

League Table

Well as you can see we are climbing up the table. I want to make some good acquisitions in January to make sure we get that top 4 place. I feel that we are improving week after week and that can only be a good sign for us.

FC Twente Away

PEP’S NOTES: It all came down to this. Win or lose. Well we decided to lose and well it has backfired as we have been knocked out of the Champions League and have been sent to play in the Europa League (which this season is incredibly strong btw eg. Dortmund, Milan, Shaktar and Sporting). This is a major disaster for the club and we know we should have gone through. I hope that we can at least reach the final of the Europa League now and make sure we pay for our mistakes.

Group Table

As you can see we somehow managed to finish 3rd. We were 1st for most of the time but this slip up cost us and we know pay the price….. THE EUROPA LEAGUE………

Baleares HOME 2nd LEG

PEP’S NOTES: A nice way to see off a team in the lower divisions. We had won the 1st leg 1-0 and at home we destroyed them. Our quality showed with Soldado and Menez scoring a brace. We played well and that is it really.

Sevilla AWAY 1st LEG

PEP’S NOTES: This was not the best way to start the tie off. I feel that they played much better than us and we deserve the loss. We never really knocked on their door in the game and it shows. We know we need to make sure we are much better in the 2nd leg to get to the quarter-finals.

Sevilla HOME 2nd LEG

PEP’S NOTES: A great win for us. We managed to win the tie and send us through to the quarter-finals. I am very happy with the result and we deserve the win. I knew the team could do it and I am very proud that they managed to win in the end. Overall I am happy with the team and I hope we can win the tournament.

Player Of The Month

Adil has been very consistent this month and he is a key player in the team. He is solid at the back and can also chip in with important goals when the team needs it(when Soldado does not score :D).
