I had Baines, Rooney and Young!
I went with Joe Hart as I wanted a solid keeper.

Britain Win First Group Game

Julio Cesar
Chris Smalling
Theo Walcott

Line Up:(4-2-2-2) Jason Steele, Kyle Walker, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Leighton Baines, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Rodwell, Ashley Young, Gareth Bale, Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott

Great Britain went top of Group C with a well-deserved win over Brazil. They left it quite late but still dominated. The only downside was that Theo Walcott fractured his wrist and had to go home and be replaced by Jay Rodriguez.

Good idea but I thought Jason Steele and Ben Amos were good enough and I thought we needed a decent winger to match Bale.

Calm down and relax. There are a few English talents who would be world class, so the most effective way would be to make your own. However if you do want to buy and can spend a lot here are people that could be world class: Kyle Walker, Jack Wilshire, Martin Kelly, Jack Rodwell and Tom Cleverley. If you don't want or can't spend a lot try theses: Raheem Sterling, Craig Dawson, Steven Caulker, Joe Lewis. The guys I just listed are in my in England squad and playing well(although I had to kick Tomkins and Caulker out due to assloads of recent injuries leading to deteriorating skills). However the easiest and cheapest way to make a great English team is by getting them out of your youth academy and another method is to:
1. First scout all English players aged 16-20 in the npower championship, npower league 1 and npower league 2.
2. Find players who gets a lot of game time, desireably in the first team.
3. Decide whether or not they are up to your standards.
4. Buy them, cost may vary from 50k-3million depending which league the youngster plays in.
5. Train the players and enjoy the result.

In my England game 4 of my senior players original came from npower championship, npower league 1 and npower league 2. 2 of them came from Wycombe (great club for producing youngsters, new youth crops are sometimes already better than starting 11, so they get lots of game time, improves a lot)

I can't find a single one who is good enough for my Swansea team, which is my priority on this save. Just got a job offer from Mexico and thought it sounded fun, and when England asked me 6 months later i moved there:)

Caulker is a player I'm familiar with.. was important when I won PL in my first season with the Swans. Problem with my youth recruitment is that 90% of the players are Welsh,, but always browse and scout the new players coming up from other PL sides, and ofc Championship, L1 and L2:)

And maybe I have to calm down and relax... or defend. Since my Swansea-team is possibly the best side I've ever had on FM, I'm using a very attacking formation cause I'm trying to break the Aston Villa goal scoring-record from 1930/31. Maybe I'll try a strong defense with counter-attack focus instead:) The Jack's have been class, and Cleverley OK.. Haven't tried Sterling, thanks for the tip. Joe Lewis has been crap as hell.
@Vanjari
Joe Lewis will improve later on. Anyway all the youths you'll find will probably look like shit but believe train them a bit. Try buying someone from league 1 or league 2 who is really young but played 20+ league games, then try tot rain him. It won't cost you much even if you fail.
