The North London Derby
Once again it was that time of the season but this time it was the first game of the season. This season we have a very tough task ahead of us. We want to win the league and every other cup possible, of course this will be a very tough task but I have faith in my squad. Since Bale is injured and Andre- Villas Boas has left things have calmed down between the two teams although of course there's still the rivalry.
The team were desperate to win this game as not only was it a North London Derby but it was the beginning of a new season, everyone wants to start the season on a good note.
In the match, we did not dominate possession yet we were pressing. As the referee was about to blow his whistle for the first half to come to and end, Gary Medel tackled Walcott to tackle Walcott harshly. He ended up going for any early bath as that was his second yellow card, poor tottenham but we didn't care that was brilliant for us.
In the second half we immediately took advantage of the fact that they were one man down and they just couldn't handle the constant pressure and in the 64th minute Dawson slide tackled Walcott in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. Walcott then stepped up...slowly....and....slotted the ball home, 1-0. Just as I thought we might have secured the game out of nowhere Lennon dribbled past Gibbs to score and spoil the party.
However our gem, Santi Cazorla scored after playing one-two with Schurrle.
2-1 was the final score, we had defeated our bitter rivals but more importantly we had gotten the three points.
