Real Name Fix

I use the Real Name Fix produced by pr0. It alters the names of clubs, stadia and competitions to reflect how they are called in parts of the English-speaking world. I am aware that some of the names are not the actual names of football clubs, but they are how they are called in some parts of the world. I will quickly explain how to download this fix, and how to edit it so as to change names yourself.

Download and extract the two files (FM20 Fix by FMScout.lnc & FM20 Club Names by FMScout.lnc).

Move the two files to the following folder:
Windows:
\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2020\data\database\db\2001\\Inc\all

Mac:
/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 2020/database/data/db/2001/Inc/all

You can then edit the two files by opening them with Notepad, or similar. For example, let's say I wanted to change Liverpool's full name to 'Scouser Red Cough', their short name to 'Cough Cough'', this is how I would do it:

I would make sure that I could find the club's unique ID on FM. To do so, go to Preferences > Interface and make sure "Show screen IDs in Title Bar to assist skinning" is ticked. This will mean Liverpool's unique ID will appear on FM when I view the club (ID: 676). Now, I open up the name fix and I edit what has been done already in the fix provided to Liverpool's names so that they appear as follows:

Then, Clear Cache & Reload Skin in your Preferences. *Links and file paths updated for FM20*
