Performance Objectives
Short Term
Avoid Relegation: Going down is not an option for us. Aside from the fact that Tier 7 & below are not playable in this save, the club would spiral into misery and doom if it goes down. The most important thing for us to achieve this season is to avoid relegation. If we can do that, with all of the facility and financial problems we have, it will be a job well done. (Priority Status: Critical)
Cup Runs: We aren't anywhere near being favourites to achieve promotion in the league but we may have a chance to put together some sort of cup run. We will be competing in the qualification stages of the FA Cup, as well as the FA Trophy, and a cup run could boost the morale of the players, earn some income and increase fan support. (Priority Status: Medium)
Don't Get Outclassed Too Often: There is nothing worse than getting smashed by teams left, right and centre. It completely deflates morale in the dressing room and upsets fans. While this isn't absolutely necessary for success, a club in progression cannot afford too many major setbacks in individual performances. (Priority Status: Low)
Medium Term
Reach The Football League: Over the next 2 - 5 years our objective has to be to reach the Football League (Tier 4 & above). It is where the professional clubs of English football play and we want to be in that category. The only way for that to happen for us is to achieve two promotions, and we have given ourselves five years to do so. Let's hope we can achieve this. (Priority Status: Critical)
Be Successful In Cup Competitions: I'm not looking for us to win the FA Cup or anything similar to that in the next few seasons, but a long cup run or two would go down a treat. We would like to get to the latter stages of the FA Trophy or to make the official rounds of the FA Cup at least once in the next five years. That would be a success for us. (Priority Status: Medium)
Begin Tactical Evolution: Our first season may prove to be a difficult one and we will have to set up our tactics accordingly. However, after the first season I will look to evolve our initial tactics to begin playing in a style which reflects the philosophies I want the club to demonstrate. (Priority Status: Low)
Long Term
Win Major Competitions: We dream of becoming a club that can fight for the top titles and achieve the top honours. We want to play in memorable fixtures for the biggest prizes against the world's top teams. Champions Leagues, Premier Leagues, FA Cups. They are what we want to win. This may take many seasons to achieve but we must do it if we want to become one of the best. (Priority Status: Important)
