Eustace 4-2-3-1 Blackburn 2024/25 // Defensive Masterclass

Blackburn Rovers have narrowly escaped relegation the season before, and they turned into a solid contender for the playoff spots this season under manager John Eustace with his rock solid defensive strategy. As a Rovers fan, I've been really happy that my team finally found a suitable manager and I decided to simulate JE's tactic into my Blackburn team in FM24.



Only 13 goals conceded after 25 games, best defence in the league. Won against Liverpool (1-0), Chelsea (4-0), drew away against City (1-1) and Arsenal (0-0) with 13 games unbeaten run in the Prem. Been using this tactic since the end of the 2027-2028 season and I managed to pick up 9 wins out of the last 11 games, including a 4-1 win against Liverpool at Anfield to leapfrog from 9th to 6th.








Focus on Defending and Transition drills, as well as Team Bonding to improve the players' positioning - which is vital in remaining the rigidness and the organization of your defensive structure.
