A balanced, defensively sound 4-3-1-2, inspired by Mourinho's Champions League winning Porto team.

Although this tactic will not give you a free-scoring attack-minded team, it's defensive efficiency coupled with the added threat of long balls from deep allowed my team to rank highly in terms of attacking efficiency in the league.

If a more defensive approach is preferred, the roles of your attacking midfielder and your left striker could be changed to other roles with supporting duties.
