Why this alternate structure and not the real one?
You can activate the 1. Liga in Switzerland with just a few clicks. However, some U21 clubs are part of the 1. Liga and that causes some problems in long term games, as just a few clubs in the database have U21 squads assigned. Another problem is that the Swiss league is mainly amateurish below the Challenge League and a lot of small clubs have up to 3 teams playing in the 2, 3. and 4.th liga. This league structure can not be edited in a realistic way. Therefore I decided to make my own Swiss league structure, trying to make the ingame realism the main focus.
For those who want to play the Original Swiss league, I have activated the 1. Liga as it is set in the database:
Switzerland 1. Liga
How to install:
* Place the .xml file to the folder My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\editor data. In case you can't find this folder, it's within the folder that savegames get saved.
* When starting a new game, in the "Choose Database" box, hit "Change" at "Editor Data Files" and then OK. Select the file you placed to "user data" folder. Click "ΟΚ".
Enjoy!
