PNE's new Columbian star

Preston North End have confirmed the signing of Esteban Lopez on a free transfer since his release from Newcastle.

Earlier today pne.com have released a statment that they have signed young Lopez on a 3 year deal.

Esteban was seen down at Springfield's PNE's training ground completing his medical, Later he commented stating:

"I'm extremely excited to be signing a deal here at Preston, As soon as I was release from Newcastle Graham (Alexander) was in contact with me about the opportunity and am so glad it has materialized. Hopefully I can impress and push for a place in the first team."

It had was also stated that both Wigan & Cardiff were in minor talks with Esteban however PNE managed to bag there man before anything was offered from their competitors.

When Graham Alexander introduced the young winger to the media at Deepdale he stated:

"The lad has defiantly got bags of potential, with some hard work and experience he should turn into a great player, he will be learning off the likes of Holmes & Humphrey at this moment in time."

Esteban, Originally from Columbia moved to the north east with his parents & it was there that United spotted him for their youth ranks.

Wolves Stalk Preston Lamb!.

http://www.pnefc.net/cms_images/news/welsh-johnwolves4x349-993103_478x359.jpg

It has been release by a unknown source today that Wolves are on the prowl for Preston North Ends John Welsh.

The former Liverpool Youth, 29, has been in the middle of a transfer saga at Deepdale stadium. He joined the Lilly Whites back in May 2012. Before hemoved to PNE he was at Tranmere were he was club captain which in turn made him a favorite for the captains armband at Preston.

Supposedly it all started when John Welsh was stripped of the PNE armband, where sources close to the club confirmed that welsh demanded a urgent meeting with Graham (Alexander), which in turn ended with welsh storming out of the meeting room looking furious with what Alexander said about the situation.

We caught Alexander as he was entering the North Ends training ground for his views:

"I'm sorry I can not comment further moment in time, John (Welsh) is obviously a key player here, He is a PNE player at the moment."

John Welsh may now be thinking about the fact that his contract is up at the end of this season and may well refuse to negotiate with PNE due to this latest bust up.

Alexander, who joined Preston at the start of this season has been relatively quiet in the transfer market as of late. Many believe lack of funds have hampered him imposing his own ideas on the team.

However with Preston on a winning streak and unbeaten in more Graham can't complain from what he is getting out of his team.

August Report Cont..

Preston North End 2-1 Mk Dons
Davies (29, 84)
Davies
[spoiler=Line-Ups]

After being favourites at home we didnt do anything special and I told the team to go out there and do this for the fans, and Kevin Davies delivered I don't care what the press say, he should be captain!.

Coventry City 0-3 Preston North End
Hayhurst (7)
Davies (13)
Huntington (30)
Huntington
[spoiler=Line-Ups]

Coventry are really struggling at the moment, with my team flying I gave (Will) Hayhurst a run out and by god the lad got a goal... We have been using the wide areas well But with Big Kev up front anything that gets fired across goal he seems to get his head on!.

Fulham 3-0 Preston North End

[spoiler=Details]

My first lose with this north end team... and for some reason am not disheartened!, Yes we did get dominated however we kept it 0-0 for the whole 90mins to a teeam like Fulham!, Tired legs and the sending off sealed our fate to be honest. Bring on the league games...

Walshall 2-3 Preston North End
Beavon (22, 32, 69)
Beavon
[spoiler=Line-Ups]

We went to Walshall after a heavy long drawn out lose to Fulham, I wanted the lads to respond however with after injury's and fatigue from the last game I thought we would struggle, Yet our 100% record in the league continues!. I played a quiet attacking team as walshall are going dreadful so I gave Garner a run out but with him getting injured, duty called for super Bev to be pushed up top and he gave a master-class in finishing. so glad we managed to hold on as the central defence tired quickly
Some really good results. A great story so far :D

Transfers In
Marius Zaliukas - Free Transfer

Marius joins us on a free transfer since be was released from hearts, we offered him a 2 year deal hopefully he will bring some international experience & a bit of bite and passion to our defence.

Josh Rees - Free Transfer
http://www.arsenal.com/assets/_files/scaled/696x392/feb_13/gun__1362056705_rees_josh.jpg

From the loss of Wroe & King we needed to bring in at least some cover for our CM position so I search the players who have been out of contract and decided to sign Josh, he isn't the best center mid but maybe I can get a profit out of him at a later date.

Transfers Out

Nicky Wroe - Inverness - £240k

Nicky was signed during last years over hall of the squad, and looking at the team and his contract I felt it was best for me to get the money in for the transfer before he goes for nothing.

Jack King - Hibernian - £205k

Jack King.. what can I say I like this gut a lot he is an amazing utility player, however AGAIN my finances where to shaky to be able to resist negotiating a deal for him before his contract ends.

Grahams thoughts.....
It has been a great first month in charge of the whites for me. All of the results have gone my way, I thought we would of struggled a little bit with the last game due to injury's however I was proved wrong. I've been forced into making a few tough decisions regarding high wages and last year of contacts, even in the transfer market it has been tough. Lets hope we can keep this run going in the league.

My Player of the month has to be Stuart Beavon, he has been on fire in front of goal and his performance against Walsall just shows what a threat he is against any team in league one

Great story so far. You have done a great job in game as well. Keep it up.

Thanks Again for everything guys! :)... comments and feed back are always welcome!

September Report

Preston North End 2-1 Crewe
Hayhurst (66)
Huntington (90+2)
Huntington
[spoiler=Line-Ups]

I don't think we should of won this game at all!, Rudd nearly gave them the win today. At half time I gave them an ear full, which raised spirits and led to our 1st goal from youngster Hayhurst. Then we practically stole the tie from them as our last corner of the game lead to everybody going up field and smashing the ball over the line from 2 yards out.

Preston North End 4-1 Stevenage
Hume (17, 65, 78)
Huntington (73)
Hume
[spoiler=Line-Ups]

HA! I'm so glad we got one over on Westley (the medal winner), His team literally fell to pieces after our second goal. I wanted to prove to him that Hume is a great player so I shoved him up front and by god he told that defence what for! so please for the lads... drinks on my tonight boys! .

Preston North End 5-1 Oldham
Humphrey (4)
Hume (6, 21, 27)
Huntington (87)
Davies
[spoiler=Line-Ups]

Davies came back into the team due to his suspension being up from being sent off against Fulham, & showed us not to forget about him with this performance. I have the pick of the bunch at the moment ALL my strikers are goal machines might try and put them all on the pitch at once.

Sheffield United 2-3 Preston North End
Wright (11)
Mousinho (29)
Davies (43)
[spoiler=Line-Ups]

Sheffield were here for the taking as they are struggling down at the bottom of the league at the moment, people were expecting us to tonk them however its always tuff on the road and the victory will do nicely!..

Preston North End 3-2 Swindon
McEveley (55)
Davies (67)
Hume (71)

Swindon had supposedly the worst defensive record up to now in the league... and when it came down to it, it really does not help that there own defence seem to be scoring goals.. however I cant laugh to much because Huntington carried on his scoring record in OUR net and the second goal from Swindon Rudd practically punched it in.. Anyway 3 points and the whites go marching on!
Lucky win, but at least Preston leaves the game with 3 points. Good Luck in your upcoming matches! :)

Yes very lucky I agree, I have no idea why but Huntington is on fire in-front of goal at the moment ha-ha.. i might stick him up front!
