Thank you... It is a strange tactic isn't it haha. i used to play 4-1-2-2-1 with two wide players which is one of my other tactics however I like an attacking midfielder to support my striker who can then stay up top and hold the ball up. In terms of wide men I just then decided that pulling one wide man back could support central midfield or attack the line and BAM!... I got my tactics :)....

What do you usually play?

This young lad is on the fringes of the first team, He has played well for the youth team and am keen to see if he can push on for a first team slot in a season or two, Southport asked for a 3 month loan & with the lad not in my plans a the moment I saw fit to accept and let him get some first team experience under his belt.

Grahams thoughts.....
A great month of results.. further advancements in two cups & another 10 points to our league tally, we have managed to pull 13 points clear of 2nd place Wolves which is a massive achievement long may this form last however I will have to keep the lads on there toes and not let up.

My November Player of the month is again Kevin Davies, from last month this lad has continued his form, another 5 goals to his tally has to be in with a shout for the golden boot if he continues at this rate.. He is a leader in this dressing room and I want to keep him around for quiet some time yet.

December Report

Leyton Orient 1-1 Preston North End
Dawkins (55)
Beavon

[spoiler=Line-ups]

Really do not know how we didn't win this game.. we had 23 shots at goal, 57% possession & all away from home. I have to say this is 2 points lost I feel, Lets hope this isn't the start of cracks starting to crumble in our fine form, The defence has been awful recently.

Preston North End 2-2 York City
Beavon (48)
Humphrey (84)

[spoiler=Line-ups]

PHEW!.. we went into this game DEAD favourites but we really, really struggled.. again this was a game we had a majority of the ball but failing again in defence gave away a first half lead and from then on I had to send the team out Gun HO as we needed that second goal as to avoid an embarrassing result, luckly we got it and we will now go to Bootham Crescent for a reply.

Walshall 1-2 Preston North End
Davies (25)
Humphrey (40)
Humphrey

Really glad to get back to our winning ways, Excellent game of football where we came from behind to seal a deserved win, It was pretty even in the first 10-20 mins however they struck first and again we had to fight to gain a foothold in this cup game, another great come back Humphrey getting both an assist and the winning goal. I've already booked our coach to Wembley... Lets get the penalty practice under way.

Pretty good December!!

December Report Part 2

Crawley 1-2 Preston North End
Welsh (6)
Davies (83)
Humphrey

[spoiler=Line-ups]

I think we carried over our current success into this game and got off to a flyer with welsh nodding home on the stroke of 6 mins and we were cruising until the end of the 1st half.. I thought the tie was going to be a draw, that is until our man Davies popped up with 7 mins to go and headed home at the near post to give us the 3 points.

York 3-2 Preston North End
Davies (5, 32)

[spoiler=Line-ups]

Fuming is not the word! we were 2-0 up at half time... what on earth happened!.. we gave away two goals to bring it back to 2-2 and then again conceded in extra time!!.. I certainly told them what I thought of there performance after that shocking second half display.

Preston North End 5-0 Brentford
Hume (19, 38)
Lopez (83)
Davies (89, 90+2)
Davies

[spoiler=Line-ups]

Exactly the response that I demanded from the team, This result was needed after the back-lash we were receiving from that last result we where dominant all over the field. Nice to see the young lad Lopez get a goal also, basically positives all around.

Carlisle 0-4 Preston North End
Davies (22, 45, 84)
Hume (42)
Davies

[spoiler=Line-ups]

Another dominating result!.. The team must of wanted to punish someone after that cup game loss and its actually woken them up and set us off on another winning run... lets see if we can keep it going.

Shrewsbury 0-1 Preston North End
Monakana (27)
Monakana

[spoiler=Line-ups]

Nice away win.. wasn't as dominant as the previous two however a wins a win and the goal which lead to the win was a beautiful solo goal.. Jeff collected the ball out wide on the right and drove in-between two Shrewsbury plays before shimmying past another and slotting the ball in the opposite corner.
2013-11-10 13:09#142834 BayernAmerica : Pretty good December!!

Haha yeh I know.. gutted about the FA cup result, we did play a lot of games though and jadedness & injury's hit us a bit I think.

December log.. Status: Freezing. Location: At Home.

Dear Diary,

What a good Christmas present we have given the fans, sat at the top of the tree midway through the season. After games coming thick and fast over the Christmas break we managed to over come a hi-cup of our cup defeat and are ready to come storming into the new year.

personally there have been some really good performances by players this last month as a lot of rotation occurred due to niggles however my stand out performer month is Chris Humphrey although he was one of the players that got a minor injury the times he was on the field he showed glimpses of class, skipping passed opponents and getting the crosses in. He was a major problem on the right wing for league one defences getting 4 Assists and 2 goals in the 5 games he made an appearance 2 being sub appearances.

[spoiler=Humphrey stats]

A nice surprise is that Kevin Davies has continued his form and managed to secure the Player of the month for December he was very humble about it and actually wants to play better... if this isn't his best then what is!.

And finally I sign off with... another MOM award!... sent Graham Westley a plastic metal for coming second to me for Christmas hope he likes it...

Graham Alexander
Preston North End Manager.

Old Rivals Renewed.

From his days with the whites Graham Westly has become a well known if not hated figure by most of League one, With Stevenage currently sitting in fourth position in Skybet league one Westly must of felt he was steadily making head way with to promotion with this team... Yet recent actions by Preston north end manager Graham Alexander has angered the self proclaimed 'Special One'.

Early reports coming Broadhall Way is that Graham Westly has been the centre of a practical joke pulled off by none other than ex player Graham Alexander.

It is believed that on Wednesday morning during Stevenage's early morning training session a package was delivered to the boss by a delivery man dressed as one of Santa's elves. The package itself being well wrapped & topped with a blue ribbon was swiftly handed over and signed for whilst the Stevenage players Westleys favourite drills the little cones.

Westley himself seemed rather surprised by the surprise gift and seemed to call the players to a holt while he opened his Secret gift. After bursting through the outer layer of the wrapping paper the box was swiftly opened to which the atmosphere suddenly changed out on the frosty field.

Graham proceeded to pull out a plastic medal from the box holding it up to to fully access it. Team Talk can confirm that there was also a note which when read by Westly he went red and shook with anger causing him to lose temper with some of his team and blasted them to do laps until he said so.

The note in question had the following words written upon it:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Graham,

Well done for another losing, win.

Kind regards
PNE - Graham Alexander.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When questioned later on that day about the practical joke when Westly was leaving the training ground, Graham immediately showed signs that it had struck a nerve & this continued later on when a series of tweets from the boro boss ignited fuel to the renewed rivalry between The lilly whites and Stevenage.

All eyes will be on 'Broadhall way' when the teams meet on the 11.03.13, fireworks will surly fly.

I wanted to thank you all for taking the time to read my story, hopefully I can continue the writing and keep you all entertained.

Sarr released by Dortmund!.

http://bc03.rp-online.de/polopoly_fs/epa03774664-borussia-dortmunds-juergen-klopp-c-1.3516225.1373014208!/httpImage/1612942483.jpg

Today Borussia Dortmund released a statement that young centre back Marian Sarr has been released by the club with immediate effect after not living up to his potential within Dortmund's 2nd team.

Sarr began began his club career playing at Schwarz-Weiß Essen before being picked up by FC Schalke 04 back in the 2005–2006 season, he played in the youth system becoming a regular. In 2008-2009 Bayer Leverkusen came and signed him where he stayed again in the youth system for a further 3 more years. He ultimately succeeded in the second team making ten appearances for Bayer Leverkusen second team as a defender during the first half of the 2012–2013 season.

Sarr then was lulled by the pull of current league champions Borussia Dortmund in the dawn of the 2012–2013 Bundesliga season. The signing of Sarr by Borussia Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen led to a large media attention, which led to a renewed debate about the "Talent theft" in football. During the second half of the 2012–2013 season, Sarr was enrolled initially in the Borussia Dortmund academy (U-19). In the 2013–2014 Bundesliga season, Sarr was inducted into the Borussia Dortmund first team by club legend Jürgen Klopp.

Ultimatly Marian failed to live up to standards at Dortmund and was pushed back to the fringes of the second team were disagreements & Sarr wanting 1st team football lead to Marc Meister & Jürgen Klopp releasing the youngster.

What the future hold for the youngster is unknown however a number of clubs have hom on their radar including second division VFL BOCHUM 1848 & FC ST. PAULI however Sarr's agent has commented recently stating that Marian has had an offer from an unknown club in England.

Preston North End are pleased to announce the signing of German born Marian Sarr on a 3 year deal since his release from German Giants, Borussia Dortmund.

The 18 year old centre back has only been on a free transfer for a short period of time and it was PNE who struck the deal to bring the star to the North West.

Although many believe the youngster may struggle in the lower leagues of the English divisions, Club manager Graham Alexander prompted that he will do all he can to help with the youngsters transaction.

"This is a great signing for us!. I'm very pleased in how well the club kept this deal under wraps as many would think this is a bit of a coup for us, although he doesn't speak English very well the presence of Thorsten [Stuckmann] will help the lad. When he came over to view the stadium we had Thorsten also come along so hopfully he will have one friendly face at least."

Alexander was talking about PNE German goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann who has been at the club for 3 years so he knows all about the way the club runs.

Sarr is Alexander's first signing of the of 2014, however it is believed that this will not be the last transfer news to come out of Deepdale.
