Youtube Interview: #AndréAnswers
Earlier today, Tottenham coach, André Villas-Boas got in touch with his softer side after speaking to SpursTV.
The club, who are very active on their social media platforms, took questions for the Portuguese boss via Twitter and Facebook using the hash tag #AndreAnswers. The Q&A seemed very popular with the Spurs supporters with more than 1,000 questions flooding in.
The session was presented by SpursTV host and Tottenham fan, Tim Love.

Tim Love: Hello, André. Thank you for taking time out from training to answer the questions, we know that you have a busy few weeks ahead of you, so we’ll try not to keep you long.
AVB: [Laugh] No problem.
Tim Love: Our first question for you, André comes from Dan. Dan wants to know – “
A lot of money has been spent thus far. What are the expectations around the club and will there be any more
new arrivals?”
AVB: Squads can always be improved, so there is a possibility of a few new faces, definitely. In terms of expectations, I think everyone is excited to be back, everyone’s raring to go ahead of the new season. Our main objective is going to be Champions League Qualification, as well as looking to secure a trophy or two.
Tim Love: Our next question comes all the way from America; Jesse P asks – “
When you’re picking the team, do you take into account previous matches and how well they performed?”
AVB: Yes, it is one of the things we look at. When you are playing a game, and one of your players played well in the previous fixture, then we will take it into account. We also have to look at how they’ve been in training, how they’re feeling in themselves.
Tim Love: André, Man v. Food presenter, and Tottenham fan, Adam Richman would like to know who you feel is the best player that you have worked with.
AVB: This is a tough one. I have only been managing a few years, but already I have had the pleasure to work with some of the best players in the world. I had the pleasure to work with Radamel [Falcao], Hulk and João [Moutinho] during my days at Porto. Here in North London I have managed some great players in Gareth [Bale], who sadly departed us this summer, as well as Hugo [Lloris] who I believe is currently the best sweeper keeper in the world. I have some new faces too, such as Paulinho, Christian [Eriksen] and Erik [Lamela] who all have the potential to be great, great players.
Tim Love: One, final “question”, which comes in from the Twitter user TimLove1984 [Laughing]. Tim wants to know, do you think you can complete the cinnamon challenge?
AVB: [Laughing] … Maybe another video?
Tim Love: Right, well, André. I think that’s all we have time for here at SpursTV. Thank you for sending in your Twitter questions and we hope you’ve had a great time. Next time, send us in your dares and we’ll see if André here, or even a Tottenham player, can complete them.
