Villas Boas: "I can't wait for the season to begin!"

Tottenham Hotspur's head coach, Andé Villas-Boas says he cannot wait for the new season to get underway. The Portuguese lead Spurs to their first Premier League title since the 1960's and has already made plans for the up and coming season.

Speaking exclusively to Goal.com, Villas-Boas has promised fans that there is more to come and that the future really does look Lily White.

"I think if you look at the new season coming up, it will definitely be one of the biggest in most Spurs fan's life time. We are finally set to move into our new stadium - The New White Hart Lane - and after winning the Premier League, we are hoping to retain it and fight for as many trophies as possible."

The Tottenham boss also, albeit cautiously, spoke about what Tottenham fans can expect in the summer transfer window in terms of departures and arrivals.

"We have several players that we are hoping to bring in, and of course, we will need to balance the books, so some players will be on there way out."

"We are also hoping to send out some of our most promising youth players out on loan to get them regular first team action, so that they can return to Spurs and hopefully be ready to fight for a starting spot."

"In terms of where we are strengthening? Well, we are looking for maybe one or two new midfielders, as well as the possibility of bringing in a center back. We already have Luke Shaw coming in from Southampton, who we have very high hopes for."

One thing Villas-Boas adamantly denied was the sale of Erik Lamela. The Argentinian has been linked with a move away from Tottenham since January, and with no new updates on the wingers situation, many fans were wondering whether he could be off.

"No. Erik [Lamela] will not be going anywhere, not this season, or next. When I say that he will not be leaving, I am making a promise to Tottenham fans that he will not be leaving. We are hoping to announce something in the near future - so they [Tottenham fans] should not worry."
AVB has big and permanent plans it seems! Nice update :)
Looking forward to the new season:)
PJ Thank you, I'm surprised how (somewhat) easy it was to win considering the buys of some clubs. Hopefully I can be up there again this year!

Trop Thank you! :)

Paddy Ay - he does! B)

PJ Me too, hopefully this year I can finally get into the CL final seeing as I've been close twice now :(
Can't wait for the new season. Hope you'll win the much desired UCL Trophy. It's good you don't sell Lamela.
Can't wait to see what wonderful things you do in the upcoming season

Tottenham to move into new stadium

We are delighted to announce that we will be finally moving into the new stadium

After several years of planning, we are delighted to announce that we will be moving into the new stadium with immediate effect.

The new stadium - named The New White Hart Lane - will hold 56,250 fans, all of which will be seated. Furthermore, the key priority has been to maximise stadium atmosphere. Spectators will have a great view of the action and will find themselves closer to the pitch than at any other comparable size stadium in the UK.

While the stadium will help benefit the club for years to come, we also feel that it will allow Tottenham as an area to thrive with the new regeneration plans. The 78,000 square foot Sainsbury's was completed in February of 2014 and will allow for 280 colleagues from the local area and giving this dynamic and exciting community great new opportunities to Live Well For Less.
Poor man's Emirates :P Should be good financially however if Spurs' rep in game continues to grow :)

Danny Rose: I want out!

Let me leave: Danny Rose (pictured above) wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham's left back, Danny Rose has started a war of words after calling out Tottenham's head coach for not allowing him to leave the club.

The left back joined Spurs in 2007 for a fee of £1m and has since gone on to become part of the first team. Before his run in the Spurs XI, he had loan spells at several clubs, including Watford, Bristol City and most recently, Sunderland.

Rose claims that Tottenham's manager, André Villas-Boas, is "keeping him against his will" after he refused to sign a contract extension. With only a year left, Villas-Boas will either have to cut ties with the English left back and let him go, or risk losing him on a free next year.

Rose has made it adamant that he will not play another game for Spurs as long as the Portuguese boss remains in charge of the London club.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for Villas-Boas, with Luke Shaw set to sign for the club in the coming days after Spurs and Southampton agreed a fee for the player back in January.
FINE HIM! Great updates Nick!
Adrian Yeah, it would be great to finally win it! & I'm not getting rid of one of my star players that easily ;)

Bayern Hopefully it'll be a very good season in terms of bringing silverware back!!

Paddy Pshhhhh, nah mate

FM-LD I should, shouldn't I. Show him who's in charge! >:)

Rose nightmare set to end

Danny Rose is set to depart Tottenham Hotspur after the club agreed to sell the want-a-way Left Back.

Danny Rose will soon end his White Hart Lane nightmare in the next few days, Sky Sports can reveal.

Tottenham Hotspur have come to an agreement with an English side over the sale of the left back. Sky Sports can reveal that the club in question is Liverpool.

Prolonged talks have been going on between the clubs as Tottenham's Chairman, Daniel Levy and Liverpool's Managing Director, Ian Ayre came to an agreement over the price of the left back. The price currently stands at around £8,000,000.

Since his outburst to the media, Danny Rose has released a statement saying:

"I am sorry for the way I may have come across, but I feel as though I cannot work somewhere where I am not appreciated. I would like to thank the fans for everything they have done for me and for making my time enjoyable. I have formed some great friendships and memories at this club, and it is something that I will never forget."
