Bernard is really good signing! Good luck!
Great to see Lamela get a new deal and Bernard is a fantastic signing. Mertens looks to be a bargain for whoever signs him at £3m and what happen to Paulinho? Ward-Prowse ahould be a terrific signing if you pull it off, however.

Morata in shock Spurs exit

I'm off: Morata is leaving Tottenham.

He may not be first choice, but the news that Morata is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur later tonight might be hard for Tottenham fans to stomach.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to sell the striker to Italian club A.C Milan after accepting a bid of £31m. The 23 year old Spanish striker was also in talks with Bundesliga champions, Borussia Dortmund, as well as Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

The striker joined Spurs in 2013 from Real Madrid for a fee of £15m. He has since gone on to make a total of 93 appearances and score 47 goals and grabbing 12 assists.

The news will also come to a blow to Borussia Dortmund fans who thought they had sealed the transfer and finally found the man to replace Lewandoski, who moved to Real Madrid three years ago.

Morata has always publicly stated his admiration for the Tottenham coach for helping him develop and has confirmed that if the opportunity were to arise, he would jump at the chance of playing under him again.

Tottenham will now be looking for a new back-up striker ahead of the new season.
HA! Spurs will now decline. ;)

Spurs receive Holtby money

Kaching: Thanks to a clause placed in Holtby's contract, Spurs are entitled to 20% of the money when sold

Tottenham have been given £1.6m after Lewis Holtby was sold by Manchester United.

The German midfielder moved to Manchester United for £15m in 2014, however has not made the impact that many had hoped for. He made a total of 49 appearances in two years for the Manchester club, however, nearly half of those were from the bench. During his time at Manchester United, he racked up just 5 goals and 10 assists.

He is now set for Italy after Manchester United agreed to sell the German born play maker for a cut fee of £8m in order to get him off their books, and thanks to Tottenham's chairman, Daniel Levy, Spurs will be entitled to £20% of the fee - roughly around £1.6m.

EDIT: Nick can't count.
Always nice to get some unexpected cash. I look forward to seeing who comes in to replace Morata :)

Mitrovic Joins Spurs

The Club is delighted to announce the signing of Serbian International, Aleksander Mitrovic from Belgian side Anderlecht

Aleksander Mitrovic has officially Joined Tottenham Hotspur. The striker has agreed a move to the New White Hart Lane for a fee of £15m. Spurs beat off competition from the likes of Manchester City and Atletico Madrid.

During his 3 years in Belgium, Mitrovic made a total of 64 league appearances, scoring 45 goals and grabbing 13 assists. At 21 years old, he is certainly a striker for the future, with Villas-Boas delighted to be able to bring the talented Serbian in:

"To bring in a striker of his quality is great, especially when we had such stiff competition for his signature. I'm delighted that he'll be joining us and I'm sure he'll take the league by storm."

Mitrovic also had a few words to say on his recent move to Spurs:

"I am so happy to be playing in England, especially with the League Champions. London is a big city, so to be able to live here and play for a team with such exciting times ahead is really good. I am looking forward to the challenge of the Premier League."
Hey Nick, Your tactics gets to work well for your strikers.....and thumbs up for that.....I would like if you would make your tactics available for download......thanks
Well done beating City to your man! signing!
Well, that's not a bad way to replace Morata at all. I'd even tip him to become your main striker ;)
Aaron They better not!

Paddy Ay, nothing better than free money ;)

Doug Thanks :)

Aaron I was really relieved as he was my main target after selling Morata and thought i'd lost him!

Paddy Yeah, hopefully he'll take over from Martinez when he finally starts to decline

Ward-Prowse to sign for Spurs

James Ward-Prowse (Pictured above) had just a year left on his contract.

His name may not be a house hold name, but Spurs have secured the signing of English midfielder, James Ward-Prowse for a fee of around £4m.

The 21 year old joins former team-mate Luke Shaw, as well as several other new English players bought in by Villas-Boas, including Will Hughes and Steven Caulker.

Villas-Boas has confirmed that that club will not be loaning out the midfielder, unlike England team-mate, Will Hughes, who is set to complete a loan move to Everton in the next few days.

"We have bought him here for what I feel is a very, very good deal. It's not often you get a good, English talent like James for so cheap."

"We have had several eqnuiries about the availability of a loan option, but I would like to reiterate that he will not be going anywhere. He has experience in this league - he knows how it works - something which Will [Hughes] does not, and both parties felt that it would be best for him to learn his trade in the Premier League with a well established team such as Everton."
Ward-Prowse for £4m is such a coup. Very shrewd, Mr Villas-Boas :)
