Villas-Boas may recall Naughton
Tottenham's head coach has recently fallen out with Kyle Naughton
Tottenham Hotspur's head coach, André Villas-Boas has confirmed he may not have a choice but to play Kyle Naughton in their Champions League home game against Czech side, Slovac Liberec.
The Portuguese boss has recently had a public spat with English right back, Kyle Naughton after the defender spoke to the press about a move away. Although the issue has resolved, with Spurs agreeing to sell Naughton to Hull, Villas-Boas has yet to let him train with the first team after sending him to train with the youth squad.
"
He has not been training with the first team. I felt that it was not appropriate for him to train with them. He disrespected both me, the club, those players and the fans. I don't think that we should encourage that sort of behavior - he needed to be punished, which is why I have done what I have done."
He also went on to add that he may not have a choice but to bring him back for the tie against the Czech side.
"
The game should be easy and straight forward, but this is football and you can never predict what is going to happen, but I will be resting several, key players."
"
Kyle Walker has been outstanding so far this season, but he needs a rest - he cannot be expected to play every game, so Kyle Naughton may look likely to start."
