Bardi to Rochdale?

FC Porto's Francesco Bardi has publicly stated he would like a transfer to Rochdale, who are rumoured to be looking for a new keeper for the Premier League. Rochdale have conceded lots of goals this season but their superb attacking options have ensured that they score more goals than they concede. However, Credible wants to cut out the number of goals they let into the net and reports from close sources have claimed Rochdale are digging deep into the market despite it being closed, and are searching for a keeper. Credible's side however, are doing really well in the league this season even if the fact that they only just got promoted is trying to bring them down, they are looking likely to contend for Europa League qualification which would defy all odds concerning Rochdale. Francesco Bardi will be the perfect acquisition for the price that FC Porto have demanded from any suitors (£1.1m).

In the league, Justin Credible has led Rochdale to a brilliant winning streak and his team are currently 3rd with 49 points, but the other teams in the top 6 have at least one game in hand so Rochdale may not be in 3rd position for long. Despite this, every fan will be elated come the end of the season even if Rochdale finish anywhere above 10th. Perhaps this is the time one can truly say: "Justin Credible is one of the greatest English managers of all time."
You should really get Bardi, he is quality.
Do it!! I have been offered him any times but can't take him since Horn is my number 1.
@qwertyman: Yep, gonna go for it mate :)

@BayernAmerica: Lol yeah, I'm totally sending a bid in for him actually, he's exactly what we need.

February Update

We're doing as brilliantly as we did last month, but this month has had it's ups and downs:

Unfortunately we're not on an unbeaten run anymore, but it was fun to remain unbeaten and hopefully we can pull off another one next season:

Rochdale AFC 4-3 Newcastle (H)

Barclays Premier League

Hatem Ben Arfa (3', pen 45+3')
Rhys Bennett (33')
Fabricio Coloccini (o.g. 42')
Jeremie Boga (44')
Juan Cuadrado (71')
Scott Hogan (90')

Hatem Ben Arfa (Newcastle) -- 8.8

Match Review
What a way to carry on our unbeaten run in the Premier League. We went down due to an early goal by Hatem Ben Arfa in the 3rd minute, and both teams kept scoring goals against each other until Scott Hogan shut their fans up with a 90th minute winner.

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Rochdale AFC (A)

FA Cup 5rd Round

Rhys Bennett (7')

Rhys Bennett (Rochdale) -- 8.5

Match Review
We once again triumphed over our old rivals at their stadium, most notably the fact that this was the exact team that knocked us out in the same competition, in the same round a couple of seasons ago. Revenge is sweet.

Chelsea 1-1 Rochdale AFC (A)

Barclays Premier League

Scott Hogan (4')
Maicon (7')

Scott Hogan (Rochdale) -- 8.3

Match Review
This match was totally enjoyable. We took an early lead at Stamford Bridge before they equalised through Maicon a few minutes later and the match kept going back and forth over the rest of the 83 minutes played after that.

Rochdale AFC 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur (H)

Barclays Premier League

Luis Suarez (30')
Will Keane (37', pen 90')
Andriy Yarmolenko (90+4')

Will Keane (Rochdale) -- 8.6

Match Review
The most frustrating match I've played this season so far. We did well to make a comeback and take the lead in the 90th minute, but that was not all. I thought the match was done and dusted but in the 94th minute they equalised and took two crucial points away from us. Still, it's Spurs who are a great club and I did expect a defeat.

Manchester United 4-1 Rochdale AFC (A)

Barclays Premier League

Danny Welbeck (9', 16')
Jonny Evans (12')
Will Keane (51')
Wayne Rooney (68')

Danny Welbeck (Manchester United) -- 8.9

Match Review
Our unbeaten run abruptly came to an end after this demoralising defeat at the Theatre of Dreams. They outplayed us in every single way possible and exploited our defence at every point. Hopefully next time we can grab the three points.

Player of the Month

The PoTM award goes to Will Keane because he scored 3 goals in the two matches he played. He is our leading goalscorer with a total of 15 goals, and that tally isn't too far off the current top league goalscorers either.

Here are the fixtures for next month:

Author's Notes

Although we are 4th, I predict we'll finish 7th or 8th even if we win every single game that we have. Of course, we could get lucky and Arsenal and Liverpool could lose their games in hand but that's highly unlikely.
Sucks about United but keep up the hard work
Keep up the good work and you will go to Europe this year.
great story, keep it up :)

Still going strong in the league :) Bit of a disappointing month, but you played some tough teams :)
Unlucky mate, with the united loss, but what do you expect? some great results other than that though:)
@BayernAmerica: Thanks mate :)

@qwertyman: I certainly hope so amigo! :) It'd be a real shame if we don't get into Europe since we've come so far haha

@ARSENAL_ruleZ: Cheers bro :)

@LFC: I agree mate, thanks a lot for the comment :)

@AaronHJFT96: True Aaron, we managed to peg them first time round but they had massive home advantage which we couldn't cope with lol, and thanks :P

March Update

We've sort of lost our winning ways, but I hope this is temporary... The question is can we get into Europe next season? We have one month to mend ourselves back to our best:

YOUTH INTAKE

This month was a tad disappointing compared to January but it's still okay in my opinion:

Fulham 1-1 Rochdale AFC (A)

FA Cup 6th Round

Felipe Caicedo (48')
Justin Schmidt (81')

Justin Schmidt (Rochdale) -- 7.8

Match Review
We were off to a shaky start in the first half but managed to hold on to a 0-0 scoreline until the 48th minute, but we equalised and forced a 6th Round replay at Spotland.

Rochdale AFC 2-1 Everton (H)

Barclays Premier League

Deilson Elias (37')
Stefan Strandberg (45+1')
Alessandro Matri (67')

Stefan Strandberg (Everton) -- 7.7

Match Review
We avenged ourselves after losing the reverse fixture against Everton a few months ago and we did it in a superb fashion. Elias bagged his first Premier League goal in this match.

Rochdale 1-2 Fulham (H)

FA Cup 6th Round Replay

Will Keane (2')
Felipe Caicedo (74', 81')

Felipe Caicedo (Fulham) -- 8.8

Match Review
This match was unacceptable as we were leading until they scored two late goals to take the match away from us, exploiting our tiredness. However, the loss came at a right time for us as it enables us to focus on the league itself and possible aim for entry into Europe next season.

Nottingham Forest 1-3 Rochdale AFC (A)

Barclays Premier League

Cesc Fabregas (7')
Joss Labadie (45+2')
Scott Hogan (65')
Mehdi Yildirim (71')

Scott Hogan (Rochdale) -- 8.0

Match Review
This match was certainly one that was fully deserved as there was an ongoing war of words between the two managers, but after this match it was clear who is a better manager and who should keep his mouth shut.

Player of the Month

The PoTM award goes to Justin Schmidt for scoring a goal and for stopping the Premier League's right-midfielders effectiively. He is one of our most influential players and we're lucky to have got him for such a cheap price.

Here are the fixtures for next month and two for the month after:

Author's Notes

The question that's on everyone's mind... Can we make it into Europe? It would be memorable if we do get into the Europa League in our first season in the Premier League, and it would be even better if we get 4th position...
Two very good regens, the first could be an amazing DLP if trained right and taken care of well :)

That City game could turn in to a must-win for Europe! If you can claim ten points from those first four games, Europe is your's! :)

If Justin can't do it, no-one can!

Good Luck Naveed!
