F.C. Viikingit - The Path To Power

Well hello, hello! I have returned with my second ever story here, despite promising to myself that I would never write again after my Vauxhall Adventure. However, I feel the urge to get back in to writing again, so here I am once again! I can't promise that this story will last long, or that it will be updated regularly, as it will be put at the back of my mind if I get bored of it, but I can promise you that if you do somehow manage to stay with me and continue to follow this story, there will be some great excitement!

The club which I have chosen to manage is a semi-professional team in the second highest division of Finland, called FC Viikingit. Why did I choose this particular team? Well, I wanted a challenge in a European nation who's footballing reputation isn't the best, which narrowed down my options. Then, I wanted to manage in the lowest available leagues in those nations, and then it was purely FC Viikingit's awesome looking logo and name which made me decide that this is the club for me. After some research of the club on the internet, I was not disappointed!

Apart from my own personal enjoyment, there are couple of things I want to do with this story:

Test out my own tactics

Improve my graphic-making abilities

Improve my writing technique

Improve my FM-playing ability

Promote skins, graphic packs, and other downloads which I enjoy using

So, this isn't just going to be a story, but there will be a lot of fictional writing for all you drama-lovers! Also, if any of you have found a particular download which you guys enjoy, drop a comment below to tell me about it! Maybe I haven't discovered that particular download yet, and I would love to be able to try out as many downloads as I can.

In my last save with Vauxhall Motors in FM13, I used Paul Hewson (Bono) as my manager. For this save, I have decided to keep the musical roots strong and have gone with Marshall Mathers, who is better known by his stage name Eminem. He will journey from being the "King of Rap", to becoming the greatest football manager of all time.

Well, I don't want to bore you with the introductions for any longer than is necessary! I hope that you will enjoy this story, and find some of my work (tactics, graphics, download promotion, etc.) useful. It is time to set off on The Path To Power!

P.S. any Eminem puns I intend to make during the course of this story may/will be very dated. It's been a while....

Its great to see you have broken the promise you made to yourself and got back involved in story writing. I am sure this will be a big success like your Vauxhall Motors one!

"My name is Marshall Mathers, but you might know me better as Eminem, or Slim Shady. I'm known all over the world for my music, I'm often called 'The King Of Rap'. Do I consider myself a king? No, I don't. I'm just a lower-class guy from Saint Joseph, Missouri, who is well known for his work. I love music and everything about it. I spend hours everyday trying to think of a new beat, a new rhyme, a new verse, anything for my next song.

I have a massive fan-base supporting my music, which I am very grateful for and I can't thank them enough. But you see, what these fans don't consider is that maybe I want to do something else with my life. Maybe I don't want to spend my whole life producing music, maybe I want another career, another adventure. And the truth is; I do want another, different adventure. I want to throw myself in to a world which I fell in love with when I was a kid. What is that world? What could I want to do more than rap?

The answer to that is soccer management. I want to be the guy who builds a team which cannot be stopped and wins countless trophies. I want to be the guy who will always be remembered for guiding a team to the pinnacle of world soccer. I want to be the guy who will always be remembered for sticking to his soccer philosophies, no matter what anybody else thinks, and makes those philosophies famous and unforgettable.

Maybe I can look in to soccer management when my singing career is over, but would that be too late? I guess all I can do for now is dream. Now, I need to get ready to travel. I've got an early morning flight to Helsinki in Finland, I think that's where Helsinki is, and then I have a gig in the evening. I just hope all goes well tomorrow."
