Byrne linked with Hearts
Hearts boss fears sack
The pressure is mounting on Hearts boss
Gary Lockie as he has brought in no new faces this transfer window in which the fans are outraged at.
The Edinburgh club finished 10th last season, although they were deducted 15 points at the start of the season, meaning they would have finished 2nd. However all does not seem to be going well behind the scenes at the
Tynecastle Stadium with the club selling some big name players and no replacements in sight.
Yesterday a protest was held outside the stadium, with up to 6,000 Hearts fans attending. Some banners read "Lockie Out" showing the clear discontent within the area.
It is expected the board will make a decision on his future at the club within the coming days, and some bookies have even gone as far to link Rangers boss
Dean Byrne with the job.
Rangers were Byrne's first venture into management and he successfully guided them to promotion to the Scottish Championship after an unbeaten season. It is unclear however if he would have any interest in a new job. The following are the odds given from bookmaker Paddy Power on the next manager of Hearts.
Dean Byrne (evens)
Alex Mcleish (3-1)
Scotty McKilt (6-1)
