Byrne Rubbishes Rumors
Dean Byrne has rubbished claims that he would leave Rangers to take the Hearts job if it became available.
Speaking with just days to go before the season opener with
Queen of the South, Dean Byrne finally put to bed rumors that had been circulating around the papers for the past few days.
Current Hearts manager
Gary Lockie is said to be under pressure over his transfer policy and it had been reported that the Premiership side were looking into replacing him with the Rangers boss.
Dean Byrne assisted The Gers on their second successive promotion, after going an impressive season unbeaten in The Scottish League 1. However, he was quick to say that he was not interested in what the papers were saying and confirmed he is happy at Rangers.
"I don't know where this story has come out of, when have I ever looked at another job?" Said Byrne.
I've had a blast here so far and long may it continue, my aim was to regain stability to the club and get them back where they belong so tell me why I would throw all that away?
Listen I don't have time to be entertaining silly rumors like that, I have a contract with the club and I will honour it.
