Good update mate :)
I have not seen anyone do a half-term report card so far!
Amazing run in the Europa League, but mediocre everywhere else. You still have time to make a run, though!

Half-Term Report Card (Part 2: Transfers)

Elvis Skopljanac- Elvis Skopljanac was our most expensive transfer at 23 million pounds, but has failed to make an huge impact this season so far. He's made 10 appearances in the Premier League, with the other 9 going to Benjamin Mendy or Karim Rekik at left back. Elvis has an average rating of 6.93, a very average average rating. He was Man of the Match once, but has some glaring weaknesses. My scouts tell me that in the Premier League this season, just 4 of 26 of Elvis's crosses of connected, or 15%. That's not something you want to see from a starting wing back, who's job it is to go up the field and put in a dangerous cross or 2. However, Elvis is a fantastic tackler; He's won 93% of his tackles this season, a fantastic percentage. Hopefully he can improve as the season goes on because he's one of these players with limitless potential according to my pretty good assistant, Steve Stone. Elvis gets a C- for his first half of the season.

Karim Rekik- Karim Rekik was the second most expensive signing I made this window, and it's safe to say he' done pretty well. With a rating of 7.11 in the Premier League and a rating of 7.4 in Europe, Rekik has been one of the most solid performers on the team so far. He's scored 4 times, all of corners. He's played every single game in the Premiership thus far, with a perfect disciplinary record. No Yellows and No reds. He's been a player we can count on, not spectacular, but always solid, which is something we need as a team. He gets a B

Simeon Tanev- Tanev is a player who hasn't played at his preferred place a center back, so I can't really judge his performance. However, he's not done as well as he could be doing, with just a 6.91 rating. However, he's picked it up in December at Center Back, so hopefully he can continue his good run of form into the second half of the season. He gets a C for now.

Nicolo Barella- One of my key signings from Italy, Barella has been alright in his 11 appearances in the BPL this yes, but it's his Europa League performances that have made him shine. With 2 goals and an 8.15 match rating on the continental stage, Barella has stormed the Europa League. However, he's been just alright in England, scoring 2 goals with 1 Man of the Match Award. He gets a B-.

Emmanual Fernandez- Nobody can argue with Fernandez's amazing talent, but like Barella, his performances in the Premier League are no match for the standards he sets in the Europa League. In just 4 Europa League matches, Fernandez scored 3 goals, just as many as he's score in 18 premier league games. He's provided 3 assists in the Premier League, but none of his stats show the true talent that this young lad possess, so I'm looking for a breakout half-season from the young Argentine wonderkid. He gets a C.

Benjamin Mendy- Mendy's performances at have been mediocre, just like his whole season. Mediocre seems like a perfect word for Mendy, who's somehow managed to get himself into the starting eleven 12 times due to some injury crisis. With a perfectly mediocre 6.91 rating, Mendy earns himself a mediocre grade, C.

Javier D'Amico- D'Amico, a starlet we signed from Argentina, has been very worrying so far. He hasn't improved, he's gotten worse as a player. He's also been, like Mendy, very mediocre. He's gotten a and average rating in the 6.8's in every competition he's played in, which is pretty scary for me a manager who had loads of faith in the youngster. He deserves a C-.

Luis Arada- In his 8 premier league matches, Luis Arada has managed just a 6.81 match rating with no goals, no assists, no Man of the Matches, and 14 total mistakes. He gets a C- for his subpar performance at the right side and I'll look to offload him as fast as possible.

Yann M'Villa- The frenchman has played 15 matches for us at CDM this year, and for free, I think he's done a good job of staying healthy and constantly contributing. He's also scored 2 goals for us, and his performances in the Europa League can't be scoffed at either. He gets a sold B.

Maninho- Maninho, our loan Striker, has been one of our greatest enigmas so far. After a blistering month of October in which he scored 4 goals, Maninho has gone on a terrible run of form. From a glance, his stats look horrendous. Our starting striker has just 6 goals in 24 games, a total that doesn't look good on anybody's resume. However, he does have 6 assists in total, so when he's not scoring, he's still contributing to the team. I still have faith in this kid, and I think he'll improve with more playing time. He'll still be up front this half-season, and then I have a tough decision on my hands, Do I try to buy Maninho, or will I let him go back to Chelsea. It's as tough decision, and I still haven't made up my mind. He gets a B for now, but that grade could change drastically come the end of the season.

Total Spent- 74.85 million pounds (1.21 million pounds profit from sales)
Overall Grade- C
Great update :)
Unfortunately, doesn't look like your signings have done too well yet.
I've had experiences with Benjamin Mendy! He looks good at first when you sign him but he never plays good and he falls out of your lineup and you end up selling him.
C? That's a tad generous :))

Unlucky with some of them, hopefully they pick things up!
I like the style of this :). I would like to do something like this but my PC cannot handle swimming up to 2018. Still this is great keep it going :)
Tough run of results but great quality of updates mate

Sure things can turn around following that poor run

January 2020

Well, after so many great months and so many terrible months, this month was just average. We won some, and we lost some. Thanks to this, we were stagnant in the table, hardly even moving a position up or a position down. However, it was still a very exciting month. Maninho caught fire once more, scoring goals for fun at some point. Simeon Tanev continued to improve at right back, and he assisted 2 winners this month. All in all, I'm happy with this performance, especially against our foes from the Mereyside, who smashed us so convincingly last time out. February is a much less stressful month as well, with no teams in the top 5 for us to play. I'm looking for a strong performance next month to bring us up the table towards Continental Qualification.

Analysis

It was an average month here at Newcastle, a first under my tenure at the St. James Park. After a pitiful form during the month of December, I had expected a loss at the New White Hart Lane and that's exactly what I got. We should have lost 1-0, but I brought all my player forward in the 90th minute and Spurs took advantage to double their lead and end the game. Thankfully, we were convincing winners in the match against Wolves, although all of our goals came in the 80th minute or later on. However, I was careful not to put too much faith into the side after the Wolves game. After all, It was just one game against a weaker opponent. And of course, in our next match against Norwich, we started off horribly, with Luis Alberto getting free to rifle a goal past Alex McCarthy. Thankfully, our Brazilian loanee, Maninho, turned up, grabbing 2 late goals, one in the 89th minute, to win us a match we desperately needed. The Liverpool match was just the opposite. We held the lead for 85 minutes of the game, with Maninho grabbing the first and only goal in the 5th minute. I was particularity happy with this match considering we lost 3-0 to them away in September, a match I will never forget. This time, Jordan Rhodes, who we sold this summer, was ruing his move away from the St. James to Anfield. Of course, we still couldn't beat Man Utd, who were one of the biggest clubs on deadline day. They snatched up Lucas Moura from Spurs, a player who was Man of the Match against us in the first match of January. We had 2 players leave the club this window, our old captain being on of the. Thanks to this, a new starlet joined the club, a player I think has the potential to be the best of his generation. All those signings can be found in the next update.

We're currently 11th in the table, 4 points behind 10th place West Brom and 11 points behind 5th place Stoke. We hold a game in hand over both teams.

Our round of 16 draw in the F.A. Cup is against Stevange, who are currently in the Championship.

Player of the Month

Our player of the month is

Maninho, who once more is scoring goals for fun. The Brazilian has 8.46 match rating in his last 5 games and has 6 goals and 1 assist to his credit. He's carried the team on multiple occasions and is the 1st player to be named the Newcastle player on the month on 2 occasions.
Great update :)and a decent month but hopefully your form will improve next month.

January Transfers

Departures

Thomas Ince- 16 million pounds

Thomas Ince, always a faithful servant to the club, leaves the club for 16 million pounds. I had high hopes for Ince coming into the season, and I made him my captain coming into the season. I planned for him to start at the attacking right midfield, where I was hoping he could take on his man and score tons and tons of goals. Unfortunately, that was not meant to be, and Ince crashed and burned. He was by far the most frustrating player on the team. I saw glimpses of greatness from him, there was a stretch where he scored 3 goals in 2 games, but for the rest of the season he did nothing to help the team and much more to hurt it. In his 19 premier league games, he scored a pitiful total of 3 goals and had just 1 assist. I was glad to offload him to Fiorentina for 16 million pounds, and I think he will disappoint there too.

Luis Arada- 6.5 million pounds

We made a pretty tidy profit on Luis Arada, who we signed for 3.8 million pounds in July. I planned for him to start at right back, but when given the chance, Arada performed poorly, making sure that we offloaded him in January. On deadline day, when I needed some extra cash to sign a fantastic talent, I sold him to Sampdoria for 6.5 million pounds straight up, which I think is a pretty good deal. Thankfully, it made sure that my prodigy will be joining Newcastle.

Arrivals

Waldemar- 11 million pounds

This guy may be the biggest talent I've ever seen since Bram De Vries (ridiculous regen :P). At just 19 years old, Waldemar is already one of the best players on my team. He's a natural playmaker, with some of the best technical skills I've ever seen. He has potential to be the best in the world. With that in mind, I went out and signed him for 11 million pounds, which Is his release clause. I think he'd cost me far more than that if there was no release clause, so I'm secretly relieved. Not only can he partner in the midfield with Johannes Sariola, Bruno Fernandes, and Nicolo Barella, he can also fill the void Thomas Ince left at Attacking Right midfield. This lad and Emmanuel Fernandez can become all-time greats, just you watch.
