A legend of the game taking Rome to a new empire. Like Julius Caesar except not as good.

Important Notice

I have some bad news for you guys. Due to some disagreements with my parents and some semi-dumb stuff I did at school, I've had my computer taken away for a month. Thought I may get it back before then, I will not be able to play FM nor update any of my stories, and I likely will not be on the site often.

It's crushing for me to have to give this up, but my parents are mad and final exams are getting close. I will try to be back as soon as I can and start updating as soon as I'm back. I'll miss you guys :(

Until then, goodbye.

ROMA RUN RAMPANT IN OCTOBER

ROMA 5-1 PALERMO (SERIE A)

It was an absolutely incredible October for AS Roma as they brushed aside every challenger with ease, scoring no less than 15 goals in 4 matches, giving up a mere 3. Led by the heroic Mattia Destro, who picked up no less than 5 goals in those 4 games, the Giallorossi attack looks just about ready for anything.

The only match of the four that really troubled the capital city side was when SL Benfica came to the Stadio Olimpico for the Champions League group stage match. Andre Gomes had given the Portuguese side the early advantage, but with just 15 minutes remaining in the match, Totti's men surged back and scored twice through Destro and Ljajic to send Rome into raptures.

Miralem Pjanic continued his impressive run of form in the number 10 role, scoring 3 goals and assisting 3 more during the four match run, including an impressive 1 goal and 2 assist performance against SS Lazio.

The month is not completely over, however. Tomorrow, Roma will take on archrivals SS Lazio in an 'away' fixture at the Stadio Olimpico. The entirety of Rome and Italy itself is gathering in anticipation for the epic clash of these two historic rivals in the memorable Derby della Capitale.

At the end of this run of games, Roma sits two points behind the resurgent Inter Milan that leads the league and will look to overtake them as soon as possible. They also lead their Champions League group by two points over Shakhtar Donetsk and will hope to seal their place in the knockout stages.

Pauker: WE ALL DREAM OF A TEAM OF DESTROS

Walter: He will never stahp..NeVAR :P

Justice: So original! Bravo! :))
Nice to see Pescara doing so well (and Roma of course), have they bought any good players? Or is it their youth developing?
ASR-PSV: Pescara have been doing excellent, mainly due to new signings. Ze Eduardo from Genoa, Nunzio Di Roberto from Cittadella, and Tommaso Arrigoni from Cesena all came for a total of under 3 million euros, and now all three are doing amazing!
Good to see you back on the site Neal, and the story of course too.
Awesome results and an good update of course!

Great deals there, and not a lot of cash for the 3 of them! Thanks for letting me know!
pompeyblue: Thanks mate, glad to be back as well!

ASR-PSV: No problem! They've been bargain deals, and they've certainly paid off.

MORATA AND DE ROSSI TO MISS THE DERBY

Bitter Blow: Red hot striker Alvaro Morata will miss 2-3 months with a torn groin.

With a little less than a week to go before the titanic Derby della Capitale, Francesco Totti has some difficult selection issues to iron out before his AS Roma side takes the pitch against their eternal rivals, SS Lazio.

The first major absence will be that of Alvaro Morata. The Spaniard had signed from Real Madrid this summer for €11m and so far has scored 4 goals in 6 appearances. Now, however, the 21 year old goalscorer will be forced to the sidelines for 2-3 months after tearing his groin in training yesterday. Mattia Destro, Adem Ljajic, and perhaps Totti himself will now have to step up and put the ball into the net more often.

The second major absence is perhaps far more important. Club vice-captain and fiery leader Daniele De Rossi will not feature this weekend due to a suspension from an accumulation of yellow cards. The defensive midfielder, who has 108 caps for the Italian national team, will be sorely missed, with no other player of his defensive caliber available to Totti as a replacement.

"Obviously, De Rossi and Morata will be big misses," said Totti in a press conference earlier today. "They are both important players for us. However, this is why we have a squad full of quality players; we have the personnel to keep the team strong, and we will look to attack and win three points in the derby."

Most experts are tipping a bit of a tactical reshuffle from Totti in the derby to compensate for these losses. Normally, the Giallorossi have lined up with De Rossi sitting as the anchor of the diamond midfield. Without a like-for-like change available, however, Nuri Sahin is expected to play as a regista in the deepest midfield role with Clement Grenier slotting in alongside Verratti as the two central midfielders.

"We can't wait for the match," said Totti at the end of the conference with a glint in his eyes. "Obviously, there's no love lost between these two clubs. We can't wait to show them who the real emperors of Rome are."
