Keegans Notes

Keegan's Job Hanging By A Thread

Despite Forest securing another season in the Premier League. Fans favourite veteran manager Kevin Keegan is far from certain to be the Manager much longer. Today the Nottingham Post has started a petition to keep Keegan at The City Ground.

Keegan, 71 came into the club when they were predicted to finish rock bottom. He used his contacts to sign Alex McCarthy and Charlie Austin for £2,200,000 and also tapped into the Croatian talented youngsters they have too. Yet even though has guided them to a safe position and in such a good position to move up next season the Chairman Nicky Stapleton, who incidentally is not the man who took Keegan on. That is the other chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi has decided that Keegan might have done his time at Nottingham Forest now.

McCarthy is one of the signings made by Keegan

We interviewed fans who attended the 1-0 win at home to Southampton and this is what they had to say. 'I think it is a disgrace! We have a World Cup winning legendary Manager here in Keegan and the board need to give him the time to show us he can take us higher in the table' said Bob, 57 from Nottingham.

'This is the first time we have came up and stayed up for over 25 years now! If they fire Kev then I will boycott the matches next season. If it isn't broke do not fix it' said Gillian, 19 from Dusseldorf in Germany but is over here for this match.

It is safe to say that Keegan has the backing of the fans but do the players back him? Well we spoke to two of his signings, starting with Charlie Austin. 'I only came here because of Kev and I will leave if he is fired. He motivates us very well and is a top guy. I really do not think that Danny (Welbeck) would be coming next season if Kevin was not in charge' said Charlie defiantly.

'Forest have such a good buzz about them with this Gaffer in charge.' Said Matteo Enrietti, a £5,500,000 signing from Man City. 'If we are not in the squad for the match he makes sure we do nmot get unhappy and he really helps the new signings. With Keegan in charge this club will get to the top and I will only stay if Keegan stays too.'

It is safe to say everyone is supporting you Kevin and I personally have put my name onto this petition too. It now has an amazing 39,453 signatures at the time of writing this report.

Colin Firth for the Nottingham Post.

So I am guessing you have all seen the newspapers then hahaha. Yeah I have a hell of a lot of supporters and I think we have had a Topsy turvy month but we are safe and that is the main thing! I mean we might have only won 3 matches and lost 3 matches too. Although we lost 7-2 to Manchester City!!! Chelsea slaughtered us 5-0 too, but Chelsea were fantastic and deserved to win.

The Norwich match my position was on the line and I made 5 changes, one of the changes worked a fucking treat. Neil Bowers got a brace and justified me giving him a chance. He is a young 22 year old Northern Irishman and is a fantastic talent.

So I have saved my job and should last until the start of next season. But how did we actually do lets have a look.

Matches and Reports

Arsenal 1-1 Forest
Gajski (90+1)

We were fantastic and we played really well. I loved the way we fought back and I am very pleased with the team at the moment

Forest 4-2 Leeds
Austin (26)
Rebic (29)
Moncer (87)
Pingoto (90+2)

Pingoto finally came to the party this season as he set up 3 and scored one. We moved up the table well here too.

Manchester City 7-2 Forest
Gajski (41)
Bowers (74)

We were shit and told the fucking team that too. Bowers looked good when he came on though

Reading 2-1 Forest
Austin (48)

Reading were out of this work and showed the Premiership how good they were. Charlie was a star for me again and Renzo claimed Man Of The Match

Forest 1-0 Southampton
Cirjak (44)

We got the win we deserved here and Antonio's goal was just awesome. He picked the ball up and from 30 yards out smashed it home into the top corner. It was worthy of winning any match, like a World Cup or a Champions League.

Forest 0-5 Chelsea

Yes we were AWFUL. Nothing more to say.

Norwich 0-3 Forest
Bowers (5)
Cirjak (370
Bowers (69)

We were excellent. I made 5 changes and Cirjak and Bowers produced some amazing football and Italian Marco Banassi had his best match for us. I am very pleased with our league position too.

League Table

If you had said to me 3 months ago we would be sitting in 12th place I would have laughed. Damn I hope Liverpool go down. Reading are playing some lovely football.
Really good league position! You shouldn't lose your job
Wow, you're now in 12th! Love the fact Liverpool will most likely be going down xD
Nice write up. You better keep the job since they have improved.

Keegans Notes

Amazing! That is how I would describe this season. I mean yeah we had a couple of bad results to end the season and I saw the unfortunate Liverpool shockingly drop down into the second tier of English Football for the first time since 1962! There manager Paul Lambert took them from finishing fifth in the League to finishing 19th in the League in the space of a season.

People always say 'Oh there too good to go down, but this is not the case. Look at Newcastle, they have been in this situation and although they EXPECT to come back up straight away.... The Championship is a hard league to play in as anyone can beat anyone. Look at MK Dons for example. When they got promoted from League 1 they flew up into the Premiership but were 2500/1 to win the title.

Lets get back to my Forest team. I will be shipping out the deadwood in the Summer, I can catagorically rule out any of my buys leaving though as they need time to gel and this will be the first Pre-Season I get with them. We were predicted to finish 19th, when we secured 14th I was over the moon because I said we had to get 15th. Reading had a storming season to claim 6th but Arsenal won the title on the last day when Spurs lost and Arsenal drew. Aston Villa survived thanks to how shit Liverpool were.

Results

Stoke City 2-1 Forest
Bowers (45)

We did not play well but it was also that Stoke played a long ball game and hit us with some crunching tackles.

Forest 0-1 West Brom

We did everything but score and West Brom scored on a counter attack. I think they did deserve the victory though.

League Table

I have already spoke about this table but yes conformation that Liverpool go down.

Summer Clear Out

So after some awful losses and bad games I got rid of £8,000,000 of players. Left Back Kevin Mchattie has moved to West Ham for £1,100,000, Fulham have signed defender Paul Corry for £375,000, Middlesbrough, newly promoted have spent £700,000 on keeper Karl Darlo. Reading spend £2,500,000 on centre back Carlo Simm and Norwich bought Jason Holt for £3,300,000.

Now I was given £45,000,000 to spend on new recruits and I spent £41,000,000 of it but obviously I gained £8m back from that. So just who did I spend my money on?

CA
PA
Fee £300,000 from West Brom

Smith has been bought in as a back up left back because Ryan is starting to show his age now so I just need a back up.

CA
PA
Fee £300,000 from Brondby

This guy Tommy is a bargain at £300k. He is going to be a superstar and will play some this season.

CA
PA
Fee Free transfer

This young keeper was released by Rangers at the end of this last season, despite being there number 1 keeper. I think he could end up being my Number 1 but I will look to loan him out to the Champiosnhip this season.

CA
PA
Fee £7,250,000 from Aston Villa

I finally got my man and he is another guy I gave an England debut too. This means I now have plenty of forwards and I hope he comes good for me and can force his way into the England Squad again.

CA
PA
Fee £12,750,000 from Stade Rennais

This guy is special in my opinion. He honestly reminds me of a Cristiano Ronaldo and hopefully will pull us up the table.

CA
PA
Fee £12,000,000 from Liverpool

I was one of about 100 teams to be taking advantage of Liverpool getting relegated and decided against Tom Ince for this guy. Hooiveld was one of a few players to come out of Liverpool's disastrous season with any credit at all. I think I got a bargain there.

CA
PA
Fee £4,100,000 from Paris Saint-Germain

I like this guy and at 23 I think he will be ready to play some this season and is definately not going to be loaned out this season.

CA
PA
Fee £1,800,000 from Leeds

This guy I had been watching all season and decided to take the gamble with him. I like him and I will look to loan him out.

So after all that I have two more thing to tell you.

I WON manager of the year and I am glad about it. It just proves that my board of Directors were wrong and now they can not sack me and have to give me a chance.

Player of the year voted by the fans is Antonio Cirjak. Cirjak has wowed fans this season and he can not wait to do it more next season. He is one of my automatic starters at the moment.

Forest Team Of The Year

There are no surprises in this team of the Year and Charlie is going to be important again this season.
Congrats on the turn around and rofl at Liverpool.
Very good signings mate! And also, glad to see Liverpool going down!
