Spurs Go From Third Two Season's Ago To Relegation

So I love the final day of the McDonald's Premier League because it means I can have a holiday!!! A total of 434,883 fans turned out around the country to witness the ten matches.

There were a grand total of 24 goals scored, the best viewing was to be found at St. MAry's Stadium where a crowd of 32,689 witnessed Southampton's 2-1 victory over Spurs where Terry Riley scored a powerful close range effort. Unfortunately that sent Tottenham Hotspur out of the top flight for the first ever time in there history. It caused Luis Enrique to be fired and he was understandably shocked.

Elsewhere, Damir Gajski scored a placed shot during Forest's 2-0 victory over Manchester United and 56,840 watched Chelsea convincing 7-0 victory where Viggo Willumsen scored the pick of the goals with an accurate finish.

Southampton finished the season in 10th place in the McDonald's Premier League.

We played very well this season and ended up better than last season but still ended up in 4th place. We were only 1 point behind Man Utd but beat them on the last day of the season.

I look forward to next season and we are back in the Champions League.

Forest Players Called Up For World Cup Squads

Fans are said to be in shock today as Roberto Mancini has announced his 30 man preliminary squad for the forthcoming World Cup. Uncapped winger Jamie Nightingale, along with team-mate Colin Kyle are included.

This is all down Jamie's hard work and dedication to be the best player that he can be. I have been impressed with his form in the second half of the season. Mancini said of Nightingale.

Jamie Nightingale gets into the 30 man squad

Colin has excelled this season and I was watching him when he was at Watford too. He is another that fully deserves his spot in the squad.

Josh Fergamy is also a surprise inclusion given his lack of international experience. The main talking point however is Mancini's decision to include 21 year old Watford midfielder Liam Beddar. Beddar is at Watford on loan from Manchester United but many fans and pundits are questioning whether Beddar is good enough to play for his country.

Mancini has also gone for the familiar too by recalling Ashley Cox, who had missed out because of injury in the previous squad. Despite calls from the media and supporters for manager Roberto Mancini in involve the likes of Ryan Bennett and Tommy Cotton, there is no place in the squad for them.

There has also been no place for Nottingham Forest utility man Ross Beharall. He has only been used fleetingly for the Forest side lately but has failed to nail a place in the England squad since March 2026.

It is worth noting that England have not won a international match since Mancini dropped Ross in March of this year.

Other players to return to the 30 man squad are Daniel Tyas(Newcastle), Phil Jones(PSG), Saido Berahino(Stuttgart), Jack Wilshere(Arsenal) and George Thorne(Manchester United) have also been selected.

Thomas Carroll is another player to get a recall. He has been dropped from the last two squads which dates back to November 2025.

Carroll finds a way back into England reckoning

Thomas made his debut for England against South Korea in June 2018 and the experianced 33 year old has gone on to make 29 appearances for The Three Lions.

England regulars Wayne Smith, Luke Shaw and Ross Barkley all get in too. Elsewhere and Morgan Thomas, favourite for Forest Player Of The Year has got into the USA squad.

Forest will have 4 men for Croatia too, one of the pre tournament favourites. Gajski, Jedvaj, Rebic and Delac have made the cut too.

Strakosha has made the Greece squad despite hardly playing a match this season.

Gabriele Ghedin has also been called up to the Italian squad for the first time. He has had an amazing season when breaking the 20 goals barrier. I have been seriously impressed and he WILL be with us next season.

Guido Vadala has also been called up to the Argentine squad.

Former Reds Man On Keegan's Radar

With my feud with Joleon Lescott hitting a high this season now would not be a good time to say that I would like to resign Tommy Cotton.

Cotton who played for me for one season was deemed not good enough but since then he has improved as a player and with Zulu and Ross getting older I feel now might be the time to launch a bid.

I would love to resign for Forest and if the opportunity came along then of-course I would go back as I feel I have unfinished business there

Rumours are he will cost around £13m but would be worth them money and would come in handy for a heavy season next season.

The other guy I am interested in is a big name in Giordano Darmain. A 27 year old Italian with 31 international caps to his name and would cost £21.5m. Darmain has been at Udinese for 6 years and has made over 150 appearances score 23 goals and would really add something to our team.

I have heard of this interest from Forest but I want to see if there is a proper offer first but the McDonald's Premier League in England is a league I have always wanted to play.

If these deals go through it will show that I am ready to launch an assault on the top spot next season.

Merchandise Update and TV Deal Update

Nottingham Forest's Commercial Director has reported on the club's season merchandise sales.

Total merchandise sales for the season were £14,440,000 with non-domestic sales amounting to £9,390,000 of this total.

The club saw a boost in sales in Brazil with Damir Gajski shirts selling particularly well following the club's tour of the country. The Commercial Director also stated that the club continues to see benefits from previous tours to U.S.A and China.

The club sold a total of 63,252 shirts over the course of the season with the following shirt names selling particularly well;

5. Gabriele Ghedin

TV Deal's

The TV Deals have changed. There is now 4 deals for the McDonald's Premier League.

The first is the the Saturday Lunch time games. This is the lesser of the 4 deals and contains the least matches. We can reveal that Ameican broadcaster FOX Sports havs landed this package with the highest bid and it will see there channel broadcasted on BT Vision on Channel 24.

Package 2 is the Saturday Evening matches and the Capital One Cup matches. This is a very attractive looking package and one that ITV Sport desperately wanted but they failed to get it as Channel 4 landed the rights to broadcast these matches.

Package 3 is all the Super Sunday matches, which count for a lot of the live TV. This package has gone to Eurosport. Eurosport have been amazing in there coverage over the last 3 seasons and we are glad they will carry it on.

Package 4 for the Premier League is the highlights show and as usual BBC and Match Of The Day have got this package. I am happy they have held on to it and can not wait to watch it on the BBC for the next 3 seasons.

BT Sport have secured the Champions League again and ITV and Eurosport have grabbed the England Internationals too. This means that the Europa League goes to Channel 5. That is all of the TV Rights done and dusted for the next 3 seasons!

Keegan: Cotton I want You Back!

I today fired the first bolt at Joleon Lescott when I made my interest in Tommy Cotton public.

I would love to make Tommy a Forest player once again. Now I know that me and Joleon HATE each other but I do not care, I will get my man and I will make sure that Lescott sells because Tommy wants this to happen as do I. We are a lot better than Stoke so why would he not be interested in coming to our side.

Lescott however responded to the speculation. Over my dead body will I sell anyone to Forest while Keegan is in charge. I mean how fucking dare he come out in public and tell me that they are better than us? It is ridiculous because they are not. However when the reporter asked him about the finishing positions he told them to fuck off and he left!

This is going to be one highly contentious transfer if it goes through and at the moment it is a big IF!

Two Leave and Four In

Today I was sad to see two Strikers leave. First of all Hernan Rodriguez leaves us after just two seasons for £5,750,000. He made 42 appearances, scoring 18 goals but was surplus to requirements. I would like to wish him the best of luck at Norwich and I would welcome him back with open arms.

The second guy out is Giacomo Congia. He left for a cut price deal of £6,750,000 and again I wish him all the best. He moves to Manchester United on £115k a week with a 5 year contract.

Congia only made 14 appearances where he scored 4 goals but I hope he plays well for Man Utd albeit not against us.
