Champions League Tie Finely Balanced
After an amazing night at Signal Induna Park. The Champions League Playoff Tie is in the balance but the odds are now slightly in our favour as The Sun reports.
Forest Concede Leate But Are Still In Charge
On a fine Evening in Dortmund we saw Nottingham Forest come of age against one of the big team in Europe. The fact that Dortmund had a poor season last season meant that they had to qualify for the Champions League group stages.
Interesting match at Signal Induna Park
Forest, who had finished 4th now for the last two years faced a uphill battle but with signings like Cotton, Darmain and Piter things were looking up. However it was youth starlet Nirvana who played super-sub here as The Reds came from behind to claim a draw.
Dortmund started the brighter but new signing and England international Brenton Daley looked inspired as Timo Werner and Jamelao came close early on. It was Werner though who made the pressure count and scored the opening goal with an accurate finish in the 43rd minute. Nottingham Forest's equaliser came against the run of play through sub Adam Williams as he seized on Quissama's mistake to score a fine header that Morgan Thomas would have been proud of from point blank range.
The tie then swayed in the favour of Forest and there pressure was rewarded with a goal through Nirvana. It was good work from Kinteh on the right to get to the by line and sweep a cross in for Nirvana to head home. Dortmund went to sleep but on the 92nd minute an error from the impressive Tommy Cotton was seized on by Jamalao to power home for a 2-2 draw.
We spoke to Kevin Keegan after the match and he was satisfied with his side's nights work.
I think we played well, it is obvious the new signings have added something and eventually they will gel properly and our team will be amazing. Tommy Cotton claimed Man Of The Match and he deserved it too.
