Nottingham Forest fans are all set to welcome Dortmund fans to Nottingham for their European Champions Cup Best Placed Playoff Second Leg match, one which the hosts are expecting to take a comfortable win from.
Forest will be encouraged by a first leg 2-2 draw giving them a priceless 2 away goals and will be looking to build on it with a second leg home victory.
Dortmund Captain Quissama says that Forest have no chance. They are over rated and got lucky in the first leg and we will absolutely thrash them when we come to England!
I took several questions about player performance from The German Football Express, World Soccer Magazine and Sportinglife.com in the build-up to the big match against Dortmund.
World Soccer Magazine chose the main focal point for the conference with journalist Joe Wild asking, Forest will be encouraged by the 2-2 first leg draw away from home and will be looking to build on it with a second leg home victory. Havin secured an away leg draw your side must be regarded as slight favourites. Do you share this view and beleive you can progress?
I responded by saying Yes I beleive we can progress in this competition and we are maybe the slight favourites because we are at home but this is a German Superpower so it will be interesting. I hope our players rise to the occasion and win for the fans.
So we followed up our first leg draw against Dortmund with an amazing performance in the second leg at The City Ground on Tuesday which secured a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Forest finally took the lead when striker Piter scored an accurate finish from some distance on the 74th minute. He put in a Man Of The Match performance during this 1-0 victory and bagged the only goal of the game which rounded off his performance by skinning an opponent on his way to scoring an accurate finish from some distance.
Piter, 29, looked in good form for Nottingham Forest and the striker will be delighted to have got on the score-sheet. We finally got the goal our play deserved and Piter will deservedly be pleased with the strike and it was easily one of the highlights of the match. The striker made a crucial header which epitomized this impressive display too.
I am delighted to get my team into the group stages and in effect one of the favourites have been knocked out. We will be in pot 4 again I believe so lets see.
Champions League Group Stages Draw
So we made the Champions League Draw and we got a toughish group but it is better than last season. PSG are the French Ligue 1 holders and with players like £53m rated striker Davide Valli will be the toughest of the teams. CSKA Moscow won the Russian Premier League too last season and finally it is German side Shalke making up the 4 teams. Shalke finished a shock second last season in Bundersliga and I think we will do well to qualify for the knockout round sagain.
Nottingham Forest came out on top in a goal extravaganza against Watford today. With neither side concentrating on defence, the goals flowed freely at both ends of the pitch and the crowd will have gone home happy at the entertainment provided.
Midfielder Jamie Nightingale got Forest off to a flyer by scoring a well struck effort after just 1 minute. Watford then equalised through Pierpaolo Traficante as he seized on Brenton Daley's mistake to score a well executed finish. An error then from watford midfielder Giulio Coletta allowed explosive striker Colin Kyle to score against his old club with a deftly executed finish. It was a supurb solo effort and Kyle looked delighted. Midfielder Coletta atoned for his earlier mistake to equalise in the 49th minute with an incisive finish from 15 yards out.
Midfielder Noe Baba then had a moment he would like to forget as the Watford defender scored an Own Goal in the 54th minute. Gabriele Ghedin then added to the lead with a deftly executed finish on the 70th minute.
Morgan Thomas then increased the lead further with a close range headed goal before Juan Pable Martinez got a third for Watford with a placed long range effort.
An Error then from Watford's goal scorer allowed John Keegan to get his first ever goal for Forest and he was understandably happy for himself as I also am happy for him. Just when you thought 6 goals was enough Martinez gave away a penalty for Ross Barkley to expertly dispatch.
Jamie Nightingale was the best player on the park this afternoon during Forest 7-3 victory and also hit the best goal of the game.
Mancini has included the winger in his England Squad
The Forest right winger put in a superb display to back up the decision by Mancini to include him in the England squad for the Qualifier against the Czech and the friendley against Finland. He was a constant threat down the right and his close control and crossing technique was just a delight to watch.
McDonald's Premier League Table
We have started well winning two and drawing one this month. Chelsea, Man city and Man Utd are also up there and there are 7 teams undefeated they are Forest, Chelsea, Fulham, Reding, West Brom, Southampton and Leeds.
We are facing somewhat of a selection dilemma with the news that Luke will be out for 6 to 8 weeks with a fractured wrist. I hate the fact I am going to have to watch as my team tries to fight for the title and Champions League glory. I have faith in whoever come in place of me.
So as things stand Felipe, 26 is a £4,100,000 signing from Colorado and looks like the favourite to take the place. It would be fantastic to take the place of Luke Shaw at left back but there are a few players that could take his place.
Laurance Gough and John Keegan could also fill the spot but it seems Ryan Cartlidge could be Felipe's main danger. I am only young but I feel I can do a job. I think I am ready to step up but that is ultimately down to my boss Kevin.
Well this month sucked! We lost first of all to Stoke 1-0. In a game we bossed we got absolutely hammered. It is OK bossing a match but we need to finish and that is something we couldn't do this match.
We then played CASKA Moscow at The City Ground. Again we bossed the match and despite Jamie Nightingale getting sent off Morgan Thomas got a brace and we kept a rare clean sheet to win 2-0.
We then lost a close match at home to Bolton but then smashed Leeds with Kiteh, Darmain, Kyle and Williams putting us 4-0 up at half time. Piter then made it five but Leeds got 3 back to make the score respectable.
We then played an in form Fulham team and got a valuable 1-1 draw.
The heartbreak of going to PSG and defending like our lives depended on it came unstuck in the 89th minute and we went down to a 1-0 defeat.
McDonald's Premier League
We have alarmingly dropped down and find ourselves 8 points off the leaders Chelsea. Stoke City are second with idiot Lescott in charge and Fulhame are doing good too. Liverpool and Derby prop up the table.
Champions League Group F Table
PSG are top and we are second in the table. Shalke and CSKA look average to say the least so I am confident we will get through.
Month Upcoming
The Manchester United match and Stoke in the Cup stand out for me along with Shalke in the Champions League, if we win that and PSG beat CSKA then we will almost be guaranteed Knockout round again.
Keegan's Thoughts
I think we are doing well, I mean 8 points is nothing in the Premier League and if your gonna have a blip then early on in the season is the time to do it. I fully expect us to climb up the table and produce some big results this month.
With the deadline fast approaching for countries to officially submit there bids to host the 2038 World Cup, there are Five Countries looking to be the host. So lets look at them.
Brazil - South America
Brazil are looking to host the World Cup for the third time. They first hosted the World Cup in 1950 and then again more recently in 2014. They already have the infrastructure in place but the fact they have hosted it as recently as 2014 means that they are the outsiders to land it.
The main stadium is Morumbi in my view home of Sao Paolo and it holds 75,000 people.
Argentina - South America
Argentina are hoping to land there second World Cup since 1978 and are going to be one of the front runners in my view. They also already have River Plates home stadium Antonio Vespucio Liberti which holds in excess of 74,000
U.S.A - North America
The Americans have hosted it once too in 1994 but the disadvantage they have is that Mexico have only just hosted it and I think they will look to either Africa or South America. They however do not need to build stadium and the MLS is getting a lot more popular. U.S.A have also been playing a lot at Toyota Stadium.
South Africa - Africa
South Africa are going to bid again after the success of the 2010 World Cup. They have a solid bid but the other African nation bidding looks favourite but they do have some amazing stadiums. The National Stadium holds 87,000 spectators and would surely be the stadium used for th finals.
Egypt - Africa
This country is the bookies favourites for the rights to host the World Cup 2038. Already due to host the 2037 African Cup Of Nations for the seventh time this country is now ready to host the World biggest international competition. The stadiums are good enough too. The Cairo International Stadium which holds 74,100 spectators is a top notch stadium and with it I think it would just be enough.
Odds to Host The World Cup
Egypt - 3/1f Argentina - 6/1 South Africa - 10/1 U.S.A - 14/1 Brazil - 18/1
