Good Month For The Red Devils

Rhodes stepped up when needed this month
Some results can make.......or break a season in football and it is sometimes the last gasp goal to gain a draw, when really it was a match that you should have won that matter. In Jordan Rhodes, United have a player who could step in if the reported link of Robin Van Persie, who missed the last three matches for no apparent reason leaves.

Rhodes, who started 4 matches this month, the most since his arrival from Blackburn for a fee that could rise to £23m got the last minute goal against Hull to save a point and claim second in the league. United were undefeated this month although it included two draws that should have been wins against Fulham and Hull.
It started with a regulation 3-1 victory against a Spurs side devoid on confidence. Eriksen setting up two goals and hitting the bar too. Mirallas and Van Persie scoring the goals to give United 3 points.
Mirallas the scored against Fulham in the 3rd minute and United actually bossed the match but they could not finish them off and Fulham hit on the counter attack to score a late equaliser.
Then Mirallas made it 3 goals in 3 games as United defeated Zenit at Old Trafford which included a 25 yard stunner by Nathanial Clyne and that was someway to score your first goal for the club which was only his third goal of his career for the now regular England right back.
United and Van Persie the scored twice in a 2-0 win at Villa Park. Aston Villa have had an alarming slump in form lately and find themselves struggling now. United had now not lost a match since Man City thrashed them and there was evidence that fans were getting on Brendan Rodgers' side again.

Naismith scores another hat-trick
That was confirmed against Nottingham forest when the popular Steven Naismith, who is fast becoming a Manchester United icon scored his Seventh hat-trick for Manchester United since signing. The scoring was started by Rhodes but then it became the Naismith show because Forest just could not contain the hit-man and he could be in line for a massive pay hike at United at the end of the season. He was thrilled with the performance, The boys played fantastic football out there today and we really showed what a team ethic we have. Jordan has had to be patient but since he has had a run in the side he has been fantastic and I am also very pleased to have got another hat-trick I am in a purple patch at the moment and I love playing for this club.
They then went from 3 great performances to a shocking one, with the exception ofcourse of Jordan Rhodes who got a point for United by himself!
Then a tight 1-0 victory to West Ham, who are actually playing lovely football but Wilfried Bony also showed Manager Rodgers that Van Persie is not needed anymore.

The biggest movers in the league this month were Crystal Palace who are now out of the relegation zone. Wigan and Huddersfield are still outside the zone too and Wigan are looking a good team. Everton have recovered to 10th with Cardiff and Stoke very high in the league also. Chelsea remain 5 points clear of both Manchester United and Liverpool with Man City trailing in 4th.
Rodgers Verdict

Awesome month, that is all I will say. John Stones won the Young Player Of The Month award again and we did not lose this month. Steven has been fantastic though hasn't he and will be at this club for as long as I am. I think we had some wonderful results and the draws do not even bother me because we played well int hem.
When I bought Jordan I just new he was going to be an amazing player. He proved that this month with some really outstanding performances. The match against Hull we were really tired and fatigued because Hull are quick but he kept his head and that last gasp goal was absolutely outstanding.
We finally made it back to second place in the league and now we need to put pressure on Chelsea and it can be done but Jose has his side playing so really good football but they are always one step away from disaster in my view and that is something we can try and capitalize on.
This month will be the deciding factor I think as we play both Liverpool and Chelsea. If we finish this month unbeaten and beat Chelsea then it is GAME ON.
