Season Two: November Update
Nobody had expected us to be gunning for a promotion place, but after fourteen games we found ourselves in fourth position. We wanted to build on our fantastic start to the season and get some points before what will surely be a busy Christmas period. Let's see how November treated us:
Results
We started November with a surprise win over League One side Shrewsbury in the FA Cup before Euan Smith inspired us to a win against Newport County in the league. The following two games were so bizarre I genuinely pinched myself to make sure I was not dreaming. We lost 2-0 to Exeter at home in the JPT, but after a stern team meeting, we absolutely battered them at their place in the league just three days later. We won 8-0 as Euan Smith scored four and created two in what was our best win under my reign! We went from strength-to-strength as we won two and drew the other remaining three games. I'm delighted with this month as we showed some top form and great character to bounce back from our defeat. What a month for goals!
Player Of The Month
Once again, it is
Euan Smith who has been our best player over the course of this month. The Scottish striker has been in fantastic form, scoring seven goals over the course of November. He has been our spark going forward, hopefully he can continue his fine form!

Sky Bet League 2
We have now played nineteen games, and we have climbed back up to third! We have reduced the gap between us and the league leaders, Bristol Rovers, to just five points. Mansfield our just two points ahead of us in second place, but we do have a game in hand over them. We have a two point cushion over fourth placed Rotherham, and a six point cushion inside the play-off spots, which is very re-assuring at this stage of the season. Hopefully we can build on this and stay where we are in the league, or even climb higher.
December Fixtures
We play just six games during December, all of them in the league. The game against Plymouth will be the real test but hopefully we can come out on top in that match. I would like to win twelve points next month, which is quite achievable for us, I believe. Hopefully we can perform well
